I feel the other way. It's a game. My brief time in PRX was interesting. With mega-guilds there's always good and bad. But there was definitely a lot of "give give give to the guild" going on constantly (which I did). But to then shit on people because they get burnt out is childish.Nothing too juicy. A few people who were on the edge of the guild disappeared and let their properties expire.
Maybe I'm alone on this but when you're a part of a community and just one day disappear it's a little rude. I come to get to know people and think of PRX as my online family and when people fall off the edge of the world without leaving a note saying what's going on it's unkind.
It'd be different (and in maybe in that case it was) if the properties or gear or gold was given to them by the guild. But I got my properties on my own with my own money. I never got anything from the guild my entire time there beyond some groups (where we all pulled our own weight). I donated many many materials and multiples of the "required" amount of gold to the guild. PRX has no claim to random "edge members" anything, and to get pissy when people ghost in an online game (which should be expected), is just silly.
The effort would've been better focused on getting the "edge members" more integrated into the guild, giving people reasons to log in, making sure people knew their contributions were appreciated, and spreading the love a bit. Keep people playing, not crucifying them for burning out.
