No, I had no idea what her personal life entailed, because I never cared to find out. Hell, I'd be doing the same thing if my dad had millions and let me use them for frivolous entertainment. I daresay I'd be a terrible person, so I don't begrudge her that.
I don't like her because she looks exactly the same in every role I've ever seen her in, including every "range" of emotions she's ever portrayed, I don't think she's anything special as an actress if she isn't doing some sort of martial arts fighting, and personally I find her unattractive. All subjective I know, but then again so is liking her. She just comes across as wooden and uninteresting to me.
Eh? Never got the Paris Hilton vibe off her so not sure what your issue is with her, don't remember a lot of page six stuff written about her as well.
She looks the part, has played similar characters before, I'd call it a win.

not an issue i have, the chick is baller as i posted earlier. her brothers and sisters have sued their dad for his money, so she is probably the nice one. i was trying to understand why vvoid doesnt like her. i thought maybe he thought she got to where she is through her daddy's connections and didnt "pay her dues" . i agree with vvoid she is wooden, but then again her roles dont leave her much room for emotion.

Yup, another good casting job. Always liked Brandon, think he was the least of the problems with Superman Returns. Loved his Chuck spots and thought Dylan Dog was pretty entertaining.

Anyway, I would expect Ray to go unpowered pretty much entirely. the Atom aspect is generally less interesting then just being a scientist.

So I started watching this show on Netflix, currently at episode 6 of season 1, because you all seem to think its really good. Does the show improve? Right now its like watching the same episode, with some new flashbacks + some little pieces of info on the bad guy(s) controlling things. Do Laurel / Joanna have a lesbo scene at some point, if not, I'm not seeing much potential with the show. Could I skip til the last episode of season 1, then start season 2?

My prediction for the year: A quasi adaptation of the Oolong Island mad scientist commune from 52 that incorporates both Ollie's backstory in Hong Kong, Ray Palmer and his science shenanigans with Queen Consolidated and some further explanation of Professor Ivo and his search for the Mirakuru.
Oolong island was one of the niftier things to come out of the One Year Later and maxi-series 52 as a completely neutral island nation that was home to the weird and wonderful mad science types of the DCU (and the Doom Patrol)

Started watching on Netflix recently. Watching episode 12 now and this guy playing "The Count" might be the worst actor I've ever seen. You could pull a random kid off a high school drama stage and he wouldn't be this bad.
Also his sister developed the weirdest fucking lisp in the last two episodes. It's distracting.
edit: Holy shit am I crazy? She didn't have that in the first 10 episodes, right? It's like she's talking with a new retainer in sometimes.
Other than that I'm enjoying it=) Though the Magic Hacker stuff is silly. He hands her an arrow he can't track himself or anything and she looks t it for 10 seconds and tells him what it's made of, who made it, who bought it, and where it was shipped to. Shit's dumb. There's a lot to nitpick though and it's almost all really minor.
