On PS4 I have the most notiable slowdown and even crashed while going from roof to roof with the wide open views. At one point it didnt crash but slowed down to something like .5 frames per second.

The only drops I've seen on the ps4 are during cut scenes and transitions from those. I've had a couple of animations glitch going through a window.
Frames aren't great in normal motion but they are pretty steady.
The game isn't very good for many reasons. Stuff like that just adds fuel to the fire, it was already burning.

Co-op missions are interesting, its 2-4 players and it supports matchmaking so you can just jump into a random persons game and co-op with em. The missions are pretty lame though (tried 3 so far) just escort/assassinate/eagle combos with powerful enemies. Its also buggy as fuck with every single one having problems with virtually every part, especially escort ones where the target stops moving or decides to aggro an entire army and instantly dies.
The eagle vision is awful, everything turns into this horrible lego vision where everything becomes bright red, green, or yellow. It looks childish as fuck. I also just don't like the combat in this game, it feels "slower" and its really annoying dying to gunfire from an enemy a million miles away and you have no idea what killed you.
There is definitely a lot of depth and complexity in this game but its just buried completely under bugs, unfinished stuff, an incredibly stupid microtransaction upgrade system (which seems pointless to boot) and ideas not fleshed out. Wouldn't really recommend buying right now.

Fallen through the world twice now, had my map get locked in zoomed in so i couldn't look around, had npc's walk through walls, and the same shit with the escort missions where the npc's are borderline down's syndrome. Even then, still enjoying it, but i can see why other's don't. Defenitly a step down from Pirates

Yeah. And there is something about purchasing the app for $2 and getting the premium version? Not sure what that does. But I am guessing it did everything for free in Black Flag and Ubi tried to exploit it for cash.

I take it you never played AC3, you know.. The game that came out 2 years ago. Their shit has gotten progressively worse since Brotherhood; but sailing around as a pirate playing a game almost completely unrelated to the series must have erased that MO for about a year.

Ubisoft doesn't pay media outlets any longer. Save advertising dollars which they are now funneling to streamers as they realize it is more effective. Also, Forbes. Forbes has no clue what they are talking about when it comes to gaming industry. Also, Ubisoft deserves the title this year. They knew Unity was shit and launched it anyway - made horrible excuses and bullshit reasons for things such as, "We want to preserve a cinemiatic experience so that's why we locked at 30 frames" - (I mean Christ... C'mon) and blamed animations being hard to do for not having a female avatar (Although I couldn't really care less myself) when an employee already came out and said it would take 4 seconds to reskin one in. They were too busy designing the new microtransaction system. Although DA:I and it's false marketing review campaign going on right now should line it up after it launches and people see how shitty the game is.
AC 3 receives a lot of undue hate. I can see how some wouldn't like the protagonist, but it was a refreshing change from the Italian shit. Then again, I never finished it so maybe there were egregious problems near the end of the game.
I didn't like how the present day parts were concluded, personally, for reasons I can explain in PM to save thread space~

Look I get that. I agree with most points brought up. But fuck me to say they are the new EA is seriously taking the piss. Yes so far it's been a very average year for Ubisoft we still haven't seen Far cry 4 but seriously out of the big 3 in ubisoft EA and activision ubisoft is still the best. An average year compared to EA and Activisions constant stream of bullshit the last 5 years is nothing.

I actually like that Forbes article - it hits alot of the right notes. Microtransactions like that in console games with no monthly subs is pretty wild, and i also detest how companies use overly glorified PCs with never-going-to-console visuals to display the games on E3.
Sure i get they HAVE to dial down from what they wish it could be and bring it to reality but you should think about that shit before youre on stage having the masses salivating at your visuals like they did in Watch Dogs.
