i'll probably watch when family is over during the summer, we watched the animated one years ago and everyone loved it. at least they are finishing the entire thing and maybe it'll get better? heard season 1 was pretty mid

since the actors are pretty young gotta get through the filming rapidly before they age out like stranger things, that shit is gonna be so goddamn goofy

They removed the Comet time element that they used in the anime. They knew the actors were gonna age up too fast.

it sounds like 3 seasons is it, which should help in telling the rest of the story. Although it seems like more, the cartoon was only 3 seasons. So season 2 will presumably focus on Earth kingdom and introduce Toph, then final season is fire nation focus

Is this not a retelling of the animated series with some extra DEI on top? The series had 3 seasons with a pretty definitive end, so that's what I expect. There's no value in the current gen of writers trying to do their own spin and extending a show past their source material, that's just going to end badly.

It's fairly accurate, only small minor changes here and there, like instead Bumi waiting for the reveal at the end, Aang finds out it's him right away. Bumi's whole thing that drives him is his bitterness from war over 100 years and Aang leaving him
