Castlevania Nocturne is complete garbage, its literally "put a black chick in it and make it gay". I really liked the original castlevania animated show but the showrunner i guess left and netflix hired someone else and they shit out nocturne

reviews for like a dragon aren't great, with the yakuza reddit group saying the 2007 movie is better and thats a pretty hot take lol

i tried rewatching battlestar galactica (remake) and imo it doesn't really hold up, i was fast forwarding a lot and by the end of season 1 i was completely checked out of the show. its weird I really thought I liked the show but its not that good really and has a lot of really, really bad episodes and actors.

TNG/DS9/Rome/Deadwood/Wire/Babylon 5/Farscape though are my goto rewatches

I've never seen this show, is it worth it?

If your tolling… yes!

If not… yes!

Get the Blu-ray - search a viewing guide to if you want to include the “movies” and in what order, but imo dont do the chronological one bc its put the 3rd??? Movie in the beginning “bc chronological!” And it 1 makes no sense overall if your new and 2 it kinda spoils a lot.

Nah I always watch via release as it is meant to be. I'll have to check it out.

i think seasons 2-4 are pretty good, the plot is best known for the Vorlon-Shadow War that humans and other aliens get involved in

season 1 is the setup, but it can be a bit cringey. the decor is extremely 80s (and not in that fun synthwave aesthetic, but more like in bad haircuts, bad outfits, cheap neon everywhere aesthetic). its really out of place since the show launched in 1993 and you already had TNG running for 6 years before with an actually appealing futuristic aesthetic.

season 5 is tacked on at the end after the main story line concludes at the end of season 4, its about a civil war back on earth and is not really interesting.

space battles weren't even great by 1993 standards, but by 2024 its just looks real bad. TNG/DS9 on the other hand are still perfectly watchable, especially DS9

As far as "Space Station in Space" show goes, DS9 beats B5 in every respect except one: the stakes in B5 are much greater and the show runners make it more mysterious.

DS9 had TNG visual style to fall back on, B5 was on its own. B5 season 1 was harsh for the makeup - they were still refining it - even from the pilot to the episodes there was revision.

I was sitting at the tire shop and they had chiveTV on (its a thing?) and its just like meme clips and stuff... one was of a girl that lays down, lays her hair out on the ground and someone hair sprays it - she stands up and her hair is all stood up, I was like LANDO! lolz

... the plot is not about the shadow war really... its about G'kar and Londo

is that bsg old or new?

fist of north star? da fuq

New BSG, the four season one with a few TV specials. Friend gave me the entire series on DVD a decade ago.

Fist is amazing
Yeah, Fist of the North Star is real good. It's the predecessor to things like Dragonball Z. I've only seen the first 20 or so eps (of around 150). Not only that but it's also the predecessor to a ton of elements in 1990's video gaming in general. You can see the genesis of things like Street Fighter and even some RPGs in it.

Hard to believe it's a show from the 80's.

Oh, just remembered another thing I'd like to put on the list, Tennant and Smith eras of Doctor Who. Already saw Eccleston era, no interest in anything after Smith most likely.

24 is my go-to rewatch. There are probably a few shows I totally missed out on because I keep defaulting to 24 every time I have some free time and want to binge a show every few years.
