From what I've read/seen you need to practice a lot or you're going to crash. I was going to check out a software and see if it's something I could do, however, it also comes with the motion controller but you can't do all the cool video editing stuff with it which is what I want to use it for when I go to drift events.

This guy does some good videos, the second one is wtf crazy lol.

This was SUPPOSED to be my first paid project providing the "virtual inspection" utility, but I got a short notice request for 2 others last week.

This is my favorite so far though. Looking forward to getting this in front of the project team tomorrow. The city engineer is going to shit his pants.

I actually don't know which one tape measures use. You're not going to see a difference between usFT and iFt on a 25ft tape measure either way, but that's a good question. I assume they use iFt

I just saw the news and thought of this thread. Can your company afford buying a whole new setup? I’m told that the US equivalents are considerably more expensive.

My company can, yes. Easily. Plenty of other people I know are going to have a really hard time getting their boss to approve new equipment because of this shit.

I'm worried about the ease of use changes with anything else. Everything else is just more of a pain the ass to use.

One of the nicest compliments I've received, from a very large firm. He hasn't even seen the fancy stuff yet. All he's seen so far is some web viewers I put together for static imagery, video and interactive panorama viewers. Hopefully I make him shit his pants next week when he sees the lidar, 3d model and structural inspection tools.

~6,000 images from 2x drones. About 1,000 from automated missions at 250ft AGL and the rest in manual flight. Almost hit a tree at one point.

Lidar preview. It's a $15k low end lidar sensor so it's a little bit "fuzzy", but I flew it 50ft above the bridge deck so I got a lot of detail. One of these days I'll step up to a higher end system.
