This movie snuck in under the radar at the time. Most people didn't realize it was this good until it hit cable.

Just bringing a little 80's <3 to those of us that fucking hate modern movies
wife just talked about that, couldn't find a movie we agreed on, watched that new romcom anyone but you. I called out ask the dei, and she hated also the lack of any subtlety, like everything was idiocracy level telegraphed and audibly explained.

Vs she watched while you were sleeping later. Still a dumb chick flick but miles ahead of current crap.

Only here because one of my top 10 favorite movies as a kid.

Bro, why do you hate something you shouldn't watch to begin with. That's like watching lots of gay porn and saying you really hate all the gay porn.

This thread went back in time, willed itself into existence, then altered your thought processes and planted itself into your mind. More precisely, this thread and yourself existed before each other.

You do not want to know what happens next.

This movie tries to break your heart in several different ways. If It doesn't get you with the old lady senility, then it gets you with the single mother who is all alone and last ditch it just crushes you with the stillborn cute flying robot.

The black dude fixing the tile...

everything about this movie hits hard... but even as a kid, I loved it and watched it many times - although it really did hit my kid feelings a lot, and not always in a happy looking back way.

People bash the Artax thing- but once your past that, you look back and you see the sadness as good, and the sacrifice, honor, etc. The stuff in batteries not included? no...just sad sad, and yet I still willingly returned to watch it as a kid.
