Why don't they write their own war story so they can create whatever weapons and vehicles they want allowing the game to be awesome as fuck and unhindered by realism or historical accuracy? Fuck's sake. So many great big picture things companies get right in video games end up getting recycled until they are absolutely stale garbage. Money talks I guess.

The problem with WW1 is the lack of any cool guns. Most were just bolt action rifles. A rare machine gun, the Maxim or Hotchkiss that was pretty much too large to carry and used in defnsive positions? Maybe flamethrowers? Meh, sounds....NOT FUN.

these games are all about collecting and unlocking guns.
