I was on a housing market sub and people were already blaming housing and rent costs going up since 2021 on Trump tax cuts from 2017, and on tariffs that haven't even happened yet. A guy made that claim and got like 100 likes, or whatever they call them. Upvotes? Lol
I made an account on there like 15 years ago and pretty much never even lurked because it's always been so bad. I've gone on there a little more recently because the misc is gone now, but it's so bad. The r/pics comment I made was the only one, and within like 5 minutes I got a permanent ban.
It's like you said, they accuse everyone else of what they're actually doing, like deranged woman arguing. It's very effeminate, tons of passive aggressive and unfunny sarcastic comments on there too. Almost the entire website is a joke. I always hear people saying some subs are ok, but I haven't found many.

Apparently people get banned just for joining the "wrong" subs, too, which goes to show what a bunch of fragile bitches they are who really just want a giant safe space.
It can be good for stuff related to hobbies, or the like. It can also sometimes be good if you google a question (or whatever) and just include reddit on the end, and you may be able to find some discussions on the topic that might be useful.
Between the dying of forums and search engines getting shittier, this feels like the only half-decent way to get any meaningful results.
I just hate how you see this glimmer of an answer on google, but then it takes you to reddit's AIDs website where the useful comments are often buried in some digital Russian nesting doll chain that requires loading a new page/url, probably so they can serve more ads (that I don't even see because ublock origin). You can't even use ctrl+f to find anything because of how it hides replies.
Edit - I just went back to my city's sub and faggots are STILL making multiple new massive threads about the "Nazis". They really just can't stfu about it (most of them wouldn't have even known it happened if not for other reddit fags giving it attention), I guess having a massive circle jerk over how anti "Nazi" they are (and making sure everyone there knows) gives their lives purpose.
