Sony works compartmentalized, even back in the day they had various divisions in Japan that were in direct competition with one another. In a nutshell it was a many headed beast and each head was trying to cut off all the other heads. If one group had technology that would aid another group at Sony, they wouldn't share it, so they ended up shooting themselves in the foot. I wonder if that's still the case now and especially with video games, because their woke trash is just as bad, if not worse than Microshaft.

I'm with you, man. The Western studios have been so consistently awful with their woke brainrot that I basically tune them out, and even games like Kingdom Come II have me skeptical right out the gate (which turned out to be correct).
The average person simply takes a studio's past credentials as 100% guarantee for their next project, regardless that it has been in development through enough ongoing infection from sociopathic activists and Californian colonists who go out of their way laying out their agendas on X.com (or bluesky) that should be enough to dispel any benefit of the doubt in the first place.
As for Horizon, I'd say Capcom has everyone covered X14:
See, that was one of the reasons Horizon never really grabbed my attention; maybe I want to kill giant monsters with something other than a bow, and the Monster Hunter series has those options in spades. It's shockingly refreshing going against a monster with another weapon because of how different the fight plays out, and now Wilds has the ability to swap between two weapons mid-fight*.
*You could change weapons/loadouts if you returned to a camp in World, but not literally in the middle of fighting.
That's the other thing, where there is something so viscerally appealing to bashing a flesh and blood monster in the skull with a giant hammer, and PC has blood mods to give it that extra chef's kiss.
Given the trajectory of Sony's studios, I unfortunately don't foresee them realigning with what the 99% of people want despite the shift towards Japanese leadership at the top - that is until they start cracking down hard.
However, Capcom still knows what's up with Wilds.
What Sony needs to do is cull leadership across their Western studios, gut all the HR and DEI completely, and start ordering them around like they're actually working for a Japanese company.
My 10 point plan for Sony:
1. Have Naughty Dog to ship Factions 2 without the games as a service crap, just sell an all-included game, and use the meantime to unfuck Cuckmann's femcel sci-fi game after firing his ass.
2. Tell Herman Hulst to fuck somebody else's company up and get a Killzone reboot started because they're not making "fetch happen" with Horizon if even fans like Coal are seeing through the developer's crap.
3. Force Insomniac to de-faggify Wolverine, never do business with Disney ever again (seriously, Sony bent themselves over with that deal that leaked), then get started on a Resistance reboot.
4. God of War 1-3 collection with no Califaggian changes for the PS5 and PC, then tell Santa Monica that either the next God of War game is going to have Kratos re-grow his balls and become a raging, god-murdering psycho again.
5. Rebuild Japan Studio.
6. Get to work on SOCOM to take on Call of Duty and every other multiplayer shooter by being 100% masculine, military grit with zero "drip" or gay looking skins.
7. Axe Fairgame$ and write it off as a loss like WB did with the Batwahman movie, along with any GAAS still possibly in development.
8. Look at the Astrobot studio and do more of that. Shift resources from US studios back to Japan.
9. Tell Bluepoint to unfuck Demon's Souls and make it like how Miyazaki invisioned exactly.
10. Release a Bloodborne PC port and PS5 patch, printing enough money to offset Concord. Then hook up with Miyazaki to get a proper Bloodborne remake and sequel in the pipeline.
Boom, they're back on track to not being gay and retarded.
I'm going with the latter.

Interesting point, and it could be in a way. It's like they have no oversight or anyone stopping by to do a well check to make sure they aren't targeting the >0.01% of blue hairs who talk about playing games, when in reality all they do is write creepy slashfic in their bluesky goon caves.
You're right, if you cut out all of the alts and loons, old misc would have seemed like a ghost town by comparison, which is still far better: Try that pedo-sympathizing in a small town.

Not to pile on again but thoroughly loving Stellar Blade as there's nothing rubbing me the wrong way at all. Burning Shores was okay but I felt like it was sparse compared to the Frozen Wilds DLC for the first game in which the world just felt more accessible and populated with chit to do. Burning Shores felt more empty. There was just one main town and the map was broken up into small islands, many of which just had nothing to discover so exploration was empty. That whole expansion was saved by the final boss fight tho I'll admit it was more spectacle than cool gameplay. It just came down to aiming at the weak points.
The teenage lesbian romance drama is what really left a sour taste for me. Made the expansion feel far less serious.

Now look at me: Horizon replay taught me that I'm no longer in love with the franchise. Ghost of Tsushima is now Ghost of Lesbians. How in the ever living fuk would they not base the series on continuing with the established protagonist, Jin Sakai who we loved and wanted to continue playing as?
What was even the purpose of replacing him with a retarded lesbian activist actress? I don't want to play as her. Can I even just play one series as a cool dude? Jin is gone, Joel evaporated, Horizon is a tribal lesbian story, Intergalactic a space lesbian story. What exactly from Sony am I meant to be excited for?
Hence the reason I'm no longer mad they're bringing their slop to PC. I'm still a consolecel due to price and convenience but I'll be enjoying quality 3rd party games from now on.

Agree with most of what you said except the false idea that the bow is all you've got in Horizon. It's the first weapon you get, and it can be upgraded to be a power house, but it's far from all you've got to work with. There's rope casters, blast slings, the bolt caster or whatever it's called (basically a burst action machine gun) plus heavy machine guns here and there. It fits in with the lore in that they're primitive people using junk from dead robots to try and create some offense. I remember reviewers hating on the weapons at the time because 'a bow could never damage a robot', but the arrow heads are made from metal shards from dead robots, and the bow itself is made from the same. The problem with Horizon is the woke garbage they shoehorned in as well as making Aloy look uglier and uglier with each new release, because a slender, attractive female doesn't 'represent the general population'. I've tried PC gaming recently but even playing something as simple as Doom 3 on Gamepass turned into 2 hours of trying to get it to even load (srs). I just can't be bothered renaming .exe files, downloading GPU drivers, googling what various graphics settings do (because the game doesn't explain it), browsing Reddit for 'fixes' for stuff which should just fkin work from the get go since it's on gamepass etc etc. You need to be a special kind of autist to exclusively game on PC tbh
