Tolan Tolan made up several jobs to fit whatever argument he was having at that time. someone rounded them up and they were pretty funny because they had nothing in common with each other

my favorite was the one where he told us he owned/ran a business but didnt know how money worked, what cash flow meant, or the difference between net and gross

A combination of reasons, mostly I feel he will die on some hill in the politics thread after having to listen to his successful relatives talk about how they lean conservatively and want to MAGA, while Tolan has to hold all his rage in or else his grandmother will take away the credit card she loaned him.

For some reason I conflate the "jobs" of Tolan and Ossoi, I think. I think they are both "life coaches" which can make absurd money because it's a hilarious scam, so $120,000 is totally believable as an active con-job. I'm not interested enough to do the research, but it strikes me as something that a registered Commie and a UK dude would totally sign onto. Fleece fat/insecure people out of money by offering them intrawebz knowledge based entirely on "There's this one weird trick..." "Gym trainers hate him!" type hilarity.

To be honest, I'm not sure why I think they both do the same con-artist profession. Could be delivery; might even be actual statements. But man, the feeling is strong, yo.
