No time soon. Going to wait until it gets higher. Whenever the market settles I expect it to rebound past ATH. ETH gas fees are crazy as are swaps.

I just meant in reference to your comment about “made 5,000 by selling” in the other post. Just seeing what people are selling/swapping to for the dip ins/dip out.

Dad now sending me emails with Yahoo Finance links about crypto being dead bc the government announced they want to do crypto. Here we go...... 🤦‍♂️

Oh I gotcha now. Yes, I used QuickSwap into USDC. Doesn't really matter I guess. Tether, DAI, USDC. They all cost about the same fees to use.

I'd be up 25k instead of down 1.8k if I had properly paperhands when I posted this:

I should trust my instincts better; 146 IQ gives you fantastic instincts for imaginary internet money.

I have a 138 IQ (as of 2018; in 2008 it was 145 so I've significantly lost points).

...And I'm a fucking idiot.

Edit: I agree about trusting instincts though, my worst moves were when I let FOMO take over and grabbed things that I thought were probably a bad idea, like GME and Doge.

Crypto market barely blinked at the IRS threat/announcement today. Interesting...
It dipped for all of about 20 minutes as soon as that news came out. BTC went from 40k down to 38 and change, Eth went down to low 2600s and maybe high 2500s. Then immediately back to where it is now.

I don't like this BTC wavering at 40k and ETH at 2800. IT'S FREAKING ME OUT, MAN (not really.) Is it gonna bust higher or lower.

Yeah this has been a very suspenseful week. I feel bad for everyone who "lost their savings" though. Never ever sell mid-crash. Panic is what screwed people over more than anything else.

Right. Barely a hiccup. Everything about the crash seemed contrived to me. One gets the sense we are right on the cusp of something.

You might want to get to some sort of root cause analysis of that IQ loss. The graph of your IQ is not supposed to track with your portfolio, although the correlation is interesting.

The unfortunate thing is a lot of people are gambling with money they can't lose, which forces them to panic...there are people betting their rent money on this stuff. So dumb. No different than them taking it to a casino, at any rate.

It is definitely dumb. However when you're facing (at least the specter of) inflation speculation is understandable. Same thing happened in Weimar.

Fed on stablecoins + Fed Spycoin

CBDC is the path to Fed direct UBI wallets and the loss of financial privacy. Buckle up boys, its both a huge improvement and an incredibly invasive tool.

Just one more reason to be bullish on Truebit: Truebit

Truebit combines with bulletproofs to achieve compact, zero-knowledge proofs without trusted setup. Smart contracts can leverage Truebit to execute complex operations such as bilinear maps, ring signatures, homomorphic encryption, or secure code validation.

Ring signatures are what Monero uses to build plausible deniability into their transactions. If I had to guess, I'd guess that the first successful CDBC is developed on Ethereum with Truebit.

I'm trying to read those words, but I keep seeing a bunch of porn terms instead.
