Observation.
This movie comes out in 15 more days, and we haven't had people try to figure out the plot start to finish. EVERY OTHER Marvel movie, I've had to stop reading the thread upon the release of the 2nd trailer (that I don't watch anyway). But this movie is an oddity.
Is it that people don't care? Is it that guessing the plot doesn't even matter? Is it that he's a dumb superhero? I really don't know.
I mean, this is the intro to Wakanda which is the biggest thing. It's a huge shift in technology for the heroes/world. The main plot seems to be Tchalla wanting to bring Wakanda out of the shadows and into the world, while the dissenters try to take over the country after the death of the last king. I think since we aren't sure if there is an infinity stone involved, there's not much more to try and predict. Black Panther is going to be one of the most important characters going into Phase 4. Especially if we are going to be losing some of the current core Heroes.
I'm guessing the reason they went with a reverse black panther as the villain is because they didn't want people screeching about racism if they went with M'baku.

Also, because almost every Marvel new-character's first solo movie does it. It's the Iron Man formula, found everywhere from Norton-Hulk to Ant-Man and even stuff like Dr. Strange. They ain't gonna fix what's not broken (financially thus far, at the very least). It's also popular in comics as well for all the "it's not the powaz that make the hero but what you do with it"-vibes that go with it....
well not really... it's to give the heroes the ability to use their skillset. Iron man vs Iron monger, is men in suits fucking shit up, Iron man vs. Magneto is Iron man getting turned into a bowling ball. Also, because almost every Marvel new-character's first solo movie does it.
