The move is average, the Mary Sue girl haxxor was a bit annoying but thats about it.
Edit: loved the godmode sci-fi culture on steroids choosing their leaders by spear duels, that moment was a bit of a jarring WTF

yes. they had a wall to keep the lesser black people out. yep spear duels, barking gorilla tribes and plate lip elders all in their advanced civilization.

of course it was bullshit, they were still isolated with a cloaking device around their perfect little bubble. cant let other blacks know that they were living next to a civilization that could have helped protect them from poverty, starvation and slavery all this time. yeah, lets just keep this place our little secret.

It was pretty weak for marvel. All the wokeness sucked. The main villain being some thug and “All life started right ere so da whole erf is our kangdom” put it below average for me.

Honestly, I expect this movie to win Best Picture.

It's an OK movie, it made huge money, there's a chance here for the academy awards to suck their own cocks, and it's a political issue.

They won't give it to Spike Lee. They won't give it to a Freddy Mercury's Ghost. They won't give it to Lady Gaga. They won't give it to a Victorian period drama. They probably won't give it to race reverse driving miss daisy.

They MIGHT give it to Roma and give this the brokeback mountain treatment (where it wins everything but best picture). But I think blacks beat mexicans. And I think that's exactly how fucking cynical they are.

Yeah they will give it to Black Panther. They’ve been caving to all the media attention they get every year for not handing everything over to POC, the “outrage,backlash,bombshell” headlines for snubbing the #1 selling “super diversity” movie would be everywhere and they would not be able to sleep at night.

Yeah. I have been going to the Star Wars movies every year as I enjoyed the old ones when I was growing up. They have been progressively getting worse to the point I finally stopped going, starting with Solo. I don’t plan on going to anymore unless I see good reviews here. I truly don’t care about the universe anymore, and actively avoid it after that last main one. The SJW garbage on top of bad story on top of bad acting and ugly actresses...I’m just over it.

So I'm watching this for the first time since seeing it in theaters on opening night. I really disliked it from the opening credits when seeing it the first time, but I'm going in more open minded this time around.

First off, the movie is visually beautiful. Processed very well. I'm also not worried about magic technology this watching.

What I don't understand is if vibranium really is this miracle metal, why make just a pick style tool out of it? (From the museum) Seems like a waste.

The waterfall that they do challenge day is so tranquil. I could imagine a random hotel making something like that a permanent fixture at their pool complex. And colors while drinking the heart shaped herb are extremely vibrant. Reminds me a little of Avatar.

The biggest thing that annoys me is just how much they're doing that English speaking African voice. You would think it wouldn't be an issue in Wakanda.


Greer does that accent perfectly.

I feel like James Bond had a casino scene at the same casino. Maybe it was mission impossible.

Anyway, I'm exhausted right now and struggling to stay awake. I'll shut it down now and watch the balance tomorrow.

you really need to ask why when given extremely advanced tech, they chose to make spears and other crude pointy things with it?
