Nobody ever really bought into her as the A lister they tried to market her as.
Doesn't help even when doing a serious role it somehow comes off as flat comedy. They tried to sell her as too many things at once.
Maybe if she was really good at just 1 specific role and they kept casting her for that she would have caught on. They tried to push her as this Asian Tom Cruise that can do drama, action, comedy, and everything everywhere in between. People are over it. They fucked up casting her in too many different roles within a very short time frame, with none of her projects hitting.
