Whatever it is, have Rerolled in the name, and have a tranny reveal attached to it somehow.
Heh...doubt I could get the second part passed them, but if they don't like my first idea, then maybe I'll go with something like "A Rerolled Raptor" as a second option. I am a sucker for alliteration.

Get a +2 bonus if opposite gender -2 if not, roll a d20 to determine opponent's gender. If even male, odd female but if it is a prime number you can't tell and no bonus or negative but the mob gets to reroll its weapon roll if it loses the first time. High chance of prime numbers in 1-20 so lots of is that a he or a she chances. I'm several beers in tonight so can't really think of much better.

Picked up Rise to Power on the weekend:Rise to Power | Board Game | BoardGameGeek
Neat little city building type card game that I've been eyeing off for a while. Finally got a chance to try it and enjoyed it enough to pick it up. Quite a bit cheaper than other games I've bought recently, though still contributing to blowing my budget completely! It's nice and quick, seems to be doable in around 30 minutes depending how many players there are.

Not to squeeze it in amongst all the other games I want to play atm...

Played Eldritch Horror for the first time yesterday. Pretty cool game, quite a bit more complex / elaborate than something like Pandemic.

Took us 7 hours, but we did beat Cthulhu on our first try. Played with 5 players.

I wouldn't want to play with more than that as it would make turns way too long.

Eldritch took you SEVEN hours? You sure it wasn't Arkham? If it was taking you seven hours then you guys had to have been deliberating moves way more than appropriate or fumbling over some of the rules - it's a 2-3 hr game regardless of player count once you've got it down. (We play it during our Makerspace events every couple months - and it always fits into the 3-3 1/2 hrs that is alotted - often tight on time but it fits.

It is a great game though.

Yes Eldritch. Yes, 7 hours. Most of us had never played a game like it, so there was a lot of learning and rule checking.

We completed our 3rd mystery on the last player's turn with 1 Mythos card left, so pretty much last move possible before a loss. Was pretty cool.

With a similar group of people we took 5 hours to play our first PowerGrid game, which we have down to 2.5hrs now when we play.

Most of the time having the Elder God wake up isn't the end, but it's certainly a much more difficult path to winning. Better to have the mysteries done beforehand. I've found 4 people to be about right. Last game we played the turn right before we were going to knock out the 3rd mystery the Tick Tock Men wiped out all our clues. It was pretty much over at that point.

Mythos cards running out is a complete game over Moon - he's not talking about Doom hitting 0.

Exactly. Our last player before Mythos round rolled a success to get the last Eldritch token we needed on our 3rd mystery.

The final Mythos card did advance doom to like 3 or something, so pretty close to waking Cthullu, which would have meant we lost on the next Mythos phase, but we just eeked it out.

Although, technically we probably should have lost, because we were doing a few things early on that broke rules, such as stacking weapon mods.

I've never actually run into that scenario (running out of Mythos cards) and I don't own the game so I didn't know that's what happened. Makes sense though.

I did pick up Castle Panic to add to the "quick cooperative" pile this weekend. Good times.

Note: Weapons/Spells (at least barring the one new spell in the 2nd Xpac that clearly does) don't stack, but my understanding of the rules is that most allies do - there's actually a tweaked wording between some versus others.

Yeah, we figure that out about 1/4 of the way through.
I was half asking your interpretation on the stacking with the Allies, heh - none of the FAQs are super clear. Some read either way, so it's mostly assumption on my part. (logically speaking having an extra person with you should always help IMO - even if you've got a badass shotgun)

We had a guy playing Leo, the character who has athe ability to gain an Ally cheaper, he bought up like 5 or 6 Allies though the course of the game, and we were letting them stack.

According tothis postyou shouldn't let them though. As you can gain only one bonus to a roll, whichever is highest, but any Ally passive should stack.

We let it stack because of the same logic argument you just made. Obviously if I have +1 from and Axe and +2 from a gun, only the higher should apply. But if I have a companion, thematically and logically their bonus should always apply.

The argument they make in the thread for an example is the ones we don't let go, heh - dammit gonna have to dig through my box for examples later. (probably not till Wednesday though - gonna be busy with the wife's birthday today and won't want to unpack it before the official gaming party tomorrow)

It's funny that you guys bring up Eldritch and stacking bonuses, because I was just talking to my cousin about FFG's absurd stingy nature with regard to dice, and I brought up Eldritch. They give you FOUR fucking dice, when it's ridiculously easy to walk around with an average of 5+ dice, and not at all hard to end up with 10+ on some rolls. And they give you FOUR. Basic fucking 6-sided pip dice. Come on, what the fuck.

This came up when playing XCOM and on our final mission we had 3 elite soldiers doing a task, so had to roll 6 dice. My cousin brought up that there's probably a cap of 4, given they only provide 4 dice, but I brought up the Eldritch example and he conceded the point, and we rolled 6. I also never saw anything mentioning a hard-cap on rollable dice in any of the XCOM rules/tutorial.

XCOM has no dice cap. That's covered in the FAQs on the app if you hunt for it.

Yeah, friend of mine just got one of those 36-dice boxes you can order for $5 or so on Amazon. Made things so much better since everyone could have a pile.

Hey Moontayle, how did you go with the PNP version of steampunk rally? Had a chance to try it out?
