You sign a waiver for your appearance to be used. You dont sign a waiver saying they cant specifically cut the footage in a certain way, add music, narration or other techniques that can completely change the context of what actually happened or mislead someone to think something happened that did not.

Case in point the Rudy scene. They repeat the shot of him laying on the bed with his hands in his pants a few times and from different angles all while playing ominous music to give the impression he had his hands in there for far longer than he actually did. If you have a brain you can see that.

Normally id be whatever youre a moron for watching and enjoying such absolute shit content. But this movie had a specific agenda behind it and its released was highly sensationalized to amplify that agenda.

Early Ali G, when his segments were part of the 11'o clock show, was legit incredible without the "let's laugh at redneck/republicans lazy schtick" (which is kinda obvious as it was set in the UK), it wasn't political / malicious and punched up if anything. Whilst also being a satire on "wiggers"




The funny thing is, that bit about miners with black/dirty faces came true 20 years later Phoenix restaurant says this is a photo of coal miners. But I see offensive blackface

Not sure how much is real vs staged but it's entertaining.

Problem is, it just wasn’t that funny because it was obvious how it was going to play out. The whole sequence was entirely predictable from the moment they got to the clinic. Baby inside her, abort baby, jajaja. Comedy isn’t funny when it’s completely predictable.
