Isn't looking for equality of results antithetical to the whole idea of best person for the job? Seriously when did we have start having this communistic outlook on everything. No industry now seems valid unless these rigid outcomes are adhered to and manipulated to achieve. (except like waste disposal or lumberjacking or something somehow those jobs are just fine and dandy with highly unequal outcomes )
