Did he get actual powers somewhere along the way and I missed that? Asking for real as I used to see all the movies but haven't followed it all lately, and definitely not the tv stuff. And if he doesn't have any powers, that is just stupid to have a middle aged guy running around as the new Cap.

No he just practiced with the shield for like a week, chucked it at some trees and now he's OG captain america level with it...

he's just a highly effeminate black man who spent a single montage training on how to throw the shield without decapitating himself who has a wing suit and can fly with a stark updated version of his jet pack but, you know, without any of the other benefits of having an actual stark suit like armor, strength, nanobots, any of that shit. Just a weak dude with metal wings and cap america shield.

Hells no. There are a bunch of super serum soldiers out there. One is named Steve Rogers, one is named Red Skull, one is named James Buchanan Bucky Barnes, one is a Korean war black dude and another is named US Agent
And several are terrorists. Most of those are dead. None of them are wearing the Cap America shield or captain of a shrimping boat and can't get a loan at the bank. Even though Tony Stark was his friend and his widow probably wouldn't mind sending him a few k while he uses a multi-million dollar stark tech flying suit.


Lol all my posts about this sound like I'm super salty about them hijackining Captain America with a DEI hire. It's because I am super salty about it. It wasn't enough to give the shield to somebody with no powers, he doesn't even have any leadership abilities. A leader wouldn't have to beg the white devil for a loan they're not qualified to receive. They would have that shit in hand already.

I had heard in the movie he is pressured by Ross to take the serum, so I would guess you would be correct.

I don't think he has any augmented strength, but the current suit he has is made of vibranium since they asked Wakanda to make an upgraded suit. I'm assuming upgraded weapon systems, etc.

doesn't matter how fancy high tech his weapons are, he's a street level hero who should be fighting street level thugs. Hell the punisher at least has hand to hand and firearms training. falcon did a single tour in the chair force and most of it was in experimental flight school for the suit.

We're talking about a superhero who goes down for 3 days for a cold, bundled up in a blankie drinking hot cocoa and huffing on some damn theraflu. What the fuck he going to do vs a bullet, much less a hulk?

He was a PJ wasn't he? Airforce or not he's a trained special forces operator, Pararescue is like the one and only group in the Airforce that can be legitimately called badasses.

His training and power level is not really that big of a deal, the real issue is Anthony Mackie and his inability to carry a main character role.
