well I won't disparage the PJs but he could of been #1 top dog green beret Navy Seal, it doesn't change the fact that he is a powerless human with a jetpack, not a suit of armor, and his face would be blown off by Red Hulk sneezing in his direction. A punch would send him into orbit and only if he uses the shield to absorb all the vibration, otherwise he would be a fine red mist.

TACP and CCT dudes also ball out a bit. Air Force does have a decent number of operators regardless of the stereotypes of the service.

Lol no. Even green berets and seals get regularly embarrassed at the local offpost watering hole by regular joes. Being able to ruck march for 24 hours doesn't mean you can fist fight. Most operators are light weight dudes. You won't see many +200lb. Hand to hand combat is going to be all over the place depending on the individual and his off duty hobbies.

I knew a parajumper who did 10 years on Hostage Rescue Team. This was during Gulf War II when HRT was deployed over there regularly, so he's been in several firefights. He's also 5'7" 160lbs.

The SEAL who is on my division's SWAT team is also the same size.

Both of these guys would smoke me with a firearm, fistfight, not so much.

Bonus: The SEAL was in the intro to Lone Survivor (dead center)

Except we're not only talking about a movie but a superhero movie. Having any kind of special forces background is more than enough justification for a movie character to be at more or less peak natural human capabilities.

Except were talking about a superhero movie with villains who can squash tanks with their butt cheeks.

Peak natural human capabilities is no different than a potato vs the hulk. He either needs a full Ironman suit or super soldier serum or he needs go chill in a D+ show fighting very human drug dealers and bank robbers with daredevil and shit

AFSOC are a small community but they're absolute beasts. PJ's exist because even SEALs need heroes.

See that's the thing, it doesn't matter how good of an actor you cast in the role, the suspension of disbelief is just too massive for it to work. I mean it's a comic book movie so lol, physics , but there's gotta be some semblance of order and internal consistency here. Loki, a demigod (though admittedly not one known for his strength) doesn't last a second with a hulk, Thor can barely match one (arguably), Tony Stark did, but only by developing a specialized suit to counter him (and only because RDJ was marvel Jesus), Steve Rogers Captain America wouldn't stand a chance at all.

Normal human, peak human condition or no, would be split in half by hulk's fart, there is no way for falcon to even be in the same room as red hulk and it to be at all believable. No matter who you cast to play him.

Many posters here are correct, I can't suspend belief that a dude with a techy flight suit has any chance of beating Red Hulk, unless he's somehow able to out smart him.

Not really. Don't they just chill out in the plane or keep the low level minions occupied? Can't remember them doing any heavy lifting. Maybe black widow can distract someone with her tits but that's about it.

There seems to be some confusion with "take out red Hulk" and "generally do the job". I'm sure negro Cap can do a lot of the job, but I don't expect hardly anyone to take out red Hulk in the MCU other than Thor, and that Mary Sue they have.
