Oh derp, thats what i thought lolYou have to go to 3 during frenzy because the dot doesn't drop off in time. You do 2 until then basically to conserve healer mana.
I actually enjoyed that zone. I'm probably biased though as I enjoy snow areas. The most painful zone was Nagrand, I felt like I was doing all those old Nagrand quests again(Nessingwary, etc). It was like replaying TBC (that zone barely changed, aside from the Throne of the Elements).Finished Frost Ridge and hit level 93. I always hate starting a new zone. It always feels like starting over to me.
Did anyone grab logs? I believe we had 4 healers on the last 2 attempts. Second to last was a 4% wipe and though I can't say for sure without logs, I think it was just because there wasn't enough healing going to the cleave group who stepped out since they got trucked during the swap right at the end.Basically the Butcher problem was a matter of raw healing throughput. Butcher put out 140-150k DPS to the raid, but we were only doing 125k or so HPS. I don't think it was a matter of healing incorrectly though, just a gear check we weren't hitting. I checked the debuff graphs and nobody ever got above 2 stacks, so it wasn't a communication problem between me and Gurga. Overall DPS was sufficient, even if it wasn't ideal bringing someone who was doing half what we expect/require on heroic. Nothing wrong with the tanking either. Only way to have killed it Saturday would have been to get a 4th healer and prune out any dps not doing 20k+.

I created a HM Normal for Wednesday this week. Need to try and get my priest some gear or I will never be caught up enough to do HM Heroic or BRF Normal/Heroic. Hopefully we will still do a proper Tues night heroic too, it really sucked going 6/7H and 1/7H last week. Still using 655 weapons on both dps going into the next tier is embarrassing at this point.
Yeah those were the attempts we had before we cleared to twins, then we pugged two more (both druids?) and had a couple of close attempts.Warcraft Logs - Combat Analysis for Warcraft
All 3 attempts I was there for had 3 healers. Mybike left when the druid came in.
I assume you mean me. I've been gearing for tanking, was told to dps since Poid was there. Pretty fun to try and DPS with 610's 2h'ers and dungeon heroic blues. Gladiator spec I was pulling 15k, which was good enough I suppose? I was expecting a normal run since that was what you guys had been doing.Overall DPS was sufficient, even if it wasn't ideal bringing someone who was doing half what we expect/require on heroic. I'm in for wednesday night. I might be bit late depending on the start time, but I can bring either priest (shitty shadow or decent holy) or rogue (crappy combat or good Assassination).Basically the Butcher problem was a matter of raw healing throughput. We normally do 2 stacks until enrage then 3 stacks.Have you guys tried swapping out at 3 stacks? Thats how i've always done it, i'd imagine doing 2 stacks during his frenzy must be chaotic as hell lol
Nothing personal, H-Butcher just has a strict dps requirement to beat the fight before enrage (and more importantly, before all the healers go oom).I assume you mean me. Similar to your priest, I need HM normal to actually pull my weight in heroic. Was the first time in HM outside LFR, and even that's only been 2 weeks worth. Shrug.
The 15k must have been another fight, Bracken or Twins or something. Once I switched to Glad, I see 13.3k.According to my Skada I don't remember ever seeing you put in 15k. I believe on Butcher it was more like 12k.
Yep, no offense taken. If it's better to sit out, no problem. Like I said, was first go through in normal or heroic HM, and only done LFR twice. Think ilvl was like 638 w/ prot gear.Vorph_sl said:Nothing personal, H-Butcher just has a strict dps requirement to beat the fight before enrage (and more importantly, before all the healers go oom).
That's fine Noodle. Been in Ashran so should have 660 pvp wpnz for Arms/Fury.I talked to Poid a bit to get a clear idea of what he wants to do in BRF. He still wants to tank as he's been gearing up for it and enjoying it, so what I'm thinking is to have you roll glad stance and dps with being a backup tank. He's also got his druid for backup healing. Hopefully that works. You can also just go straight up DPS if you don't like that.
