Gargoyle is DK though my man. Warlock's pet spec is Demonology and it's agruably the worst of the three.

Maybe he's thinking of the doomguard. They look gargoylish. Doomguard along with that 'wild imp' thing in demonology would be lots of pets running around. Also, I'm reading some stuff on Demonology and it's looking like it's pretty viable at 100. Destro would still outdo it, skill of player being equal.

Pretty much every warlock, especially destro seems to do fairly poorly.. but i honestly think the only caster class that is in an okay position atm are frost mages. I think demonology is the better spec atm?
610 hunters can roll in and do 15k+ dps easily, yet a warlock is going to go in there and do like 8 or 9k.

Doomguard might be what it was, its a Warlock spec for sure and it can bring the DPS big time in AOE and single target. Saw maybe 3 of them the entire weekend gearing my DK but they made it rain literally also some yellow shit.
I told the guild too but I saw some combat rogues wrecking it this weekend also. Looks like that class scales up really well once fully heroic geared.

Oh.. and elemental shaman is pretty much the most useless dps class atm, it's kind of sad
i usually run heroics with: mw monk or prot pally (myself) and then a hunter, warrior, ww monk or ele shaman and then the healer/tank that i'm not playing.
the ele shaman in 80% heroic gear struggles to break 7k dps on single targets, it's really, really awful. I hope they start doing class balancing soon.. and by that i mean, don't nerf the top classes.. just make the shittier classes better.

I'm doing around 12k DPS on single target bosses with destro(in pretty much quest gear / no enchants - just hit 610 item level). Some groups that was great, in others it was mediocre to really bad. I'm guessing the mediocre performances were with players who knew what they were doing. I'm pretty on the ball with the rotation, so I hope some balancing is coming.

I'll be around this evening looking for heroics, still have a ways to go gearwise.
First time I stepped into a heroic was at 603 (used gear in bags). Skyreach, having never ran it, i spent more time worrying about avoiding shit than doing dps. It was also the first time I played destro. I was a pretty shitty dps (like 5k? Dunno I got kicked and my meter reset, although I can't blame them).
Did MC at 605, managed to do about 10k-11k as destro (got much better at doing my rotation). Still kind of shitty geared (ala low crit/high haste from being affliction). I too hope they do a little balancing pass. From what I understand though, any spec relying on crit sucks balls atm (fire mage, destro lock, fury war).
