It used to reset your garrison progress and levels etc. Looks like it's fixed now though. Your open world outposts get reset, but that's a bonus because it costs 10k to reset outposts.

Yeah i brought over some stuff from Bleeding Hollow for same reasons. Hyjal economy is so much slower.

I don't think anyone has done gold in our guild yet. We've done silver and I can tell you if you want medals its about skipping with invis pots, environment tricks, and CCing more than it is about aoe. Your dps is going to be important on the bosses since you're skipping trash so you mostly want a very high single target spec. Mathblaster & Flobee are 2 good rogues to talk to about CM specifics for your class imo.

I think i managed 15-16k single target this weekend while running heroics with some guildies. Priest single target dps isnt too shabby but the AoE is aids. Finishing a highmaul mission tonight and have another for a 645 item sitting in the log. Should bump my dps up a bit. I just dont see me doing shit on anything that needs AoE so i'll just heal when it comes to that.

unless they're using cc to bypass something entirely, hard CC will never, ever be used.
Soft CC is an obvious must when you're aoeing down 3 packs at a time though, which is what i implied on my previous post. (aoe stuns, disorientations, interupts, blanket silences, etc.)

Thats pretty much why i leveled my mage, i want to do gold runs as frost. frost bomb + crystal = stupid dps in large aoe packs.
MW monks would have such a shitty time doing gold runs i may need to gear up BM just to eventually do them on my main
