I don't know about you guys, but clearly this year's NC game should've been Bama vs Florida or LSU. Just like last year, so we could see who the true champion is.

Damn, I figured we'd at least get to see the end of the game before the "Florida wasn't prepared because the game didn't mean anything" or "Florida thought they should be playing a better team so they didn't care enough to show up" engines started revving up.
The Big East is legit. What other conference's champions are going to win 3 games this bowl season? Certainly not the SEC, ACC, Big 10, Big 12, or Pac 12.

That's the thing, the Big East gets shit on by everyone else because ppl view it as a lesser conference. In actuality, some fo the teams are team that can go hand-and-hand against teams like LSU, Florida (lol), etc etc. No respect for the Big East at all...

Can we all agree that the bowl system is a big hunk-o-shit and playing games after taking a month+ off is just a total crapshoot? Hell, look at NFL teams that get a 1-week bye in the playoffs, how often they shit down their leg. If 1 week off can make you that rusty, imagine what a month does.
I honestly haven't felt like a national championship game had both teams clicking on all cylinders since the '05 USC/Texas game. There's always at least one team that comes out and looks rusty for at least a quarter or two, and by then the game is usually decided. Hell, 5 of the last 7 Super Bowl winners did not have a 1st round bye in the playoffs.
I think we'll see much more consistent play week in and week out once the playoff system starts. Hopefully we can get a large enough college playoff eventually that there is no break after the season ends before the playoffs start(just like the NFL)

It has been that way all fucking year and yet the idiots in the AP, Coaches, and Harris poll all vote them super high because a 2 loss SEC team must be top 5, right?
I think we can all agree that the voters in these polls have never been good at comparing a season between two teams, much less 25 of them. Shit, it's the reason the computers were added into the BCS formula. Then, the first time the computers evaluation of the top 5 differed from the short sightedness of the voters what happened? Instead of saying "oh, I guess we really are a little myopic in our evaluation" they said "the computers are biased and take away the human element." The human element that the computers took away was bias, time constraints, and general stupidity.

Florida had a LOT of close games because of their shitty offense this year. Hell, they only beat my Mizzou Tigers 14-7 at the swamp, and we were fuck-horrid this year. They only beat UL-Layfayette by 7 at home, beat LSU 14-6 at home, etc. The only dominant game they had all year against a good team was their 44-11 drubbing of South Carolina. Couple wrong bounces of the ball and Florida could have easily had 3-4 more losses this year. They rarely dominated, like you would expect a top-5 team to do more often than not.
