Why is the 03 game even on the list? Dorsey v Kenzel oooo thrilling. One of the best players shreds his knee. Most importantly, the game is decided by a terrible call. Kinda hard to call it best ever when the ending is bullshit.
Are you fucking serious? The game was decided when it was 1st and goal for Dorsey and he couldn't get in it the endzone in 4 fucking tries.

interesting....

Pete Fiutak will list a lexicon of excuses as to why the 2009 college football season was a bad one while he really should just list one, and that isbecause his Ohio State Buckeyes' was once again one of college football's greatest underachievers. Fiutak is blind to any and everything outside of Columbus.

You're just being Texas homers since you both live there.
Naw, cant stand the Horns, but a great game is a great game. I was totally conflicted, I hate USC and I hate the Horns, but I must admit the game was very very exciting. OSU/Miami game was OK great, but nothing compared to the USC/Texas game.

The game was one for the ages. Not only is it the best BCS game of all time, it's one of the greatest games of all time period. A lot of those players flamed out, but both sides of the ball had so much fucking college talent it's insane. After reading that list I rewatched the 4th quarter on youtube, so many players I remembered when they'd announce their name, despite them flaming out. The White/Bush backfield, Leinart, Jarrett/Smith/Turner, Byrd - I thought that was one of the best offenses in college ever, and the numbers say it was the best of the BCS era

Rushing Offense: 260.0 ypg (6th)
Passing Offense: 319.8 ypg (5th)
Total Offense: 579.8 ypg (1st)
Scoring Offense: 49.1 ppg (2nd)

It had what, 3 heisman finalist on the field at the same time as well? Including the winner, the guy who should've won and the years previous winner.

Now put them up 12 with 6 minutes left, throw in a 4th and 1 stop, a 4th down to take the lead with 25 seconds left and Bush nearly getting them in field goal territory even after all that. It was a classic in everyway. Plus the crowd was fucking insane the entire game

Yea that was the best game I have ever seen. Dont really like or dislike either team but was a great game to be a fan of football and watch. The Boise game was probably my favorite with all the crazy shit that happened and the giant brass balls to go for the win. Statue of liberty is shit you dont see past like pee wee football and it won the game.

It was great, but nah, it's correct at #2. OSU-Miami literally had every single thing you could ever ask for in a football game. 2OT NC game, one of the most controversial calls, the most ridiculous play ever seen in a football game (Clarrett stealing the ball back), an absolutely horrible injury, and more NFL talent on the field than any other game - literally almost every single player on the field was in the NFL.

It really can't be beat, pretty much ever.

The VY/USC game is the best game of the BCS era. That Miami/OSU game isn't even a close second. That USC team was being mentioned as one of the greatest of all time, and VY was absolutely magical the entire game. You had the fourth down stop of Lendale, Bush's lateral, Vince cruising into the endzone as confetti came down, etc. It's no contest.

Huh? Miami was considered the greatest team of all-time too. That Miami team would've beat the living horseshit out of USC. Was like a 20+ game winning streak, including a NC. USC had jack shit compared to Miami.

That Ohio State/Miami game is the only game I can think of where everyone (but Ohio State fans) universally agrees that the game was won by the team that ended up with fewer points on the scoreboard. I've never met a single person that won't say "Yeah, Miami really won."

The USC/Texas game is terribly overrated, though. USC derping its way through a 4th quarter is greatness now? The only noteable thing about the game is it is the last Corporate championship game before the NCAA let SEC teams start playing for their pseudo-championship.

Why are we arguing about bowl games 10 years ago?? Thought you guys all knew, spots 1-10 of the best BCS national championship games are reserved for ND vs Bama.

So ND is giving 9 1/2 to Alabama? Man if I was into sports betting I would definitely put money on ND to cover the spread. No way it is going to be a two possession game. Thinking something like 21-14, 21-17 final score with Alabama coming out on top.

Predicting Bowl game scores is pretty tough. Having 5-6 weeks between the end of the season and the later bowl games really sucks.

I think on our sports radio this morning they mentioned that the Vegas line has been wrong on NC games for quite a few consecutive games. I just see this game being won by inches. Possibly a lot of field goal attempts, but I dont see any team scoring more than three touchdowns on each other. The defenses is just too good to allow that.
