Not sure but I know this Citadel franchise is a major money pit for Amazon.

It's about on par with Rings of Power.

One of the execs at Amazon singled out projects like Citadel and questioned if the spending is seeing a return in viewership, but said that this phenomenon of spending with massive budgets will just be placed on a "watch list" for future monitoring, and that they won't be doing anything to cut down on bloated spending in the short term. He wouldn't call it overspending, just that there's seemingly not much correlation between big budgets and viewership.

Amazon will continue to spend massively for the near future. I hope some of that money goes toward some of the MGM properties they acquired. Namely Stargate.

Anyone watched yet? I don't remember the 1st Citadel good or bad, wife didn't either. I like blowing up shit so I'll give it a try but remember:

The first episode of this was... ok ? I spent a while trying to work out what was wrong with the audio sync before realizing the english track is partially dubbed.

Suspension of disbelief is hurt by the secret weapon tech being something that would make them hundreds of billions of dollars if they used it for anything other than secret spy guns. It's hard to imagine a dumber use for that tech.

I am also having trouble getting over the main characters haircut, it triggers my OCD.

I was going nuts looking at the dubbing and switched it to Italian with subs. And then it still fucked up at the first fight by not subbing anymore and I had to switch back to the dub to understand anything.
