How can you hate Stingray. Best character on the show after Johnny.

Mrs. Larusso gets her own tier.
I know guys like that. They stink of Axe body spray and body odor. The very worst gamer stereotype.

Mrs LaRusso is indeed on her own MILF tier.

Just some observations I made from my 6 season binge this week.
Tory is the most tragic character on the show. She reminds me so much of Kari Byron From Mythbusters. When her mom dies I yelled out, Jesus Christ, this chick can't cut a break.
Robby Keene is a weird character played by an even weirder actor. Dude never looks directly at anyone. I started to think he was secretly blind IRL.
Martin Cove is way too old to be John Kreese. They used his younger self for fight scenes now.
Sam is an entitled bitch and a horrible person. The only things I like about her are her beautiful blue eyes and soft pillow talk voice.
Hawk. I can't stand him or that stupid bird cry audio sting whenever he does something. Him and Stingray are the worst.
Mr Lawrence is cool, but they made him so dumb. Daniel is cool too, but he needs to get the fuck over his boyfriend, Mr Miyagi.
I like Carmen. She is very nice on the eyes. So is Mrs La Russo. Watching them dance was a highlight. I even like Macchio's 30 something year old daughter who plays Nessa. I said I like the Asian baddie, but she's stupid. This mixed Asian girl, Devon has potential for being a hottie. But she's just adorable right now.

All in all. The show is not great, but it still can shit out nuggets of awesome. My favorite scene is the school fight segment at the end of season 3.

Also a question. Why do Tory and Robbie talk about not being able to go to college because they were in Juvie? Is that a thing?

S6 was good, as this show always is, but man do I have a bunch of things nagging at me about it.

Really not sure why S6 isn't split into S6 and S7, rather than having it come out in 3 parts over like ten months. That doesn't even make sense. Just put the rest together and release it next year as S7. Everyone likes seven season shows.

Give us two more episodes of S6 with them actually hanging out in Barcelona, rather than just a plane landing and a wide shot of the city and oop they're at the tournament now. All that hype about going to Barcelona and they do absolutely nothing with the city.

The Miyagi love segments die down a bit in S6 as we find out that Miyagi actually wasn't a great guy! Deconstructed!

Sam is the true villain of this show, been saying it for years. They treat her like the main protagonist of the kids, when she's actually the one who's caused pretty much all of their interpersonal problems.

I marked out when Tory turned heel for the 18th time.

Devon is low-key super hot and also has a lot of attitude. Just wish she were a few years older. She's already dominating the screen away from the main two girls, and she's interesting because of her heelish tendencies.

When they were picking people for the tournament qualifiers and could only choose 12, I was like "I bet it's the 12 characters with actual speaking roles" and lo and behold, it was the 12 characters with actual speaking roles. All the extras were left to look all disappointed in the background.

Sam is in no way believable as a top-tier fighter at this point who can compete in the world tournament. She literally doubled in size since earlier seasons. How'd she let that happen in real life? I've known women with bulimia and so forth in real life and these things suck to deal with. However she's on this high-profile show and you'd think they would have been helping her get healthier or something. Well, not gonna wade into this too much. All in all it reminds me of the obese guy on Lost who refused to lose weight all show even though his girth made zero sense in the show's world. Well, that was way more egregious.

No sign of Silver whatsoever in the present day and that's disappointing. Silver was the best villain the show has had. Now it's Kreese and his new secret army of Koreans from his Higher Power master from 'Nam. At least the lead kid in the Korean squad is a bad-ass, but he's got basically zero character development outside of "brash".

This last tournament is the super duper world tournament but it already feels smaller than the regional tournaments in the earlier seasons. We don't know who most of them are, the winners are basically foregone already, we already know it'll come down to Sam vs Tory (again) as the final battle, and everything just looks small now (budgetary reasons I'm guessing). The total glossing over of Barcelona comes to mind.

Most of all I thought it was comical how the show did that Hollywood thing and acted like going to a non ivy league school was some kind of death sentence. Miguel might have to go to... a state school! His life is ruined! And that other kid was supposedly going to MIT but it turned out it was just a local tech school! Whatta loser!

Speaking as someone with a useless degree, trade/tech schools are probably a better bet at this point in time. Hollywood's gonna prop up that outdated narrative of "if you don't go ivy league you're nobody" though. In their world maybe it's an attainable thing for everybody, but not in the real world.

Yeah. A lot of good points. I mentioned some of those. Still not sure why Robbie and Tory are doomed for life because they were in juvie at 17, but whatever. Miguel is hilarious. They had an entire subplot of him going to Mexico and just lucking upon his dad out of all of Mexico. Then he finds out his dad is a meanie that his mom and ya ya warned him about. He starts crying like a baby and the drug lord just let's him go. That's it. He's never seen again. Silver is just gone too. How the fuck is he not out on bail?

I thought for damned sure the big tourney was going to be held at the Valley. Like it would have been the best comedic moment if it was right where they live so as to save money on budget and disappoint the kids. That or some generic place like Vancouver or where the WB films their low budget shows.

I don't care that Sam is fat. She's just a piece of shit who they prop her up as anything but a rich little princess who fucks everyone over.

I also thought that Devon was going to hook up with Mr Lawrence and ruin his life. She's way too close to him and she's way too cute not to notice. Maybe that's a me problem. Lol I'd fucking hit that and do whatever to make sure she won.

This new Zara chick is insanely hot. "Welcome to Barcelona, Bitch."

So glad (SPOILER) is back as of E8, show instantly gets better with his presence.

I'm starting to outright loathe Sam after liking her for the first few seasons of the show. She is still not believable as a martial artist, the camera bends over backwards to hide her melted ice cream physique, she has no charisma, is depressing, is more or less the real villain of the teenager half of the show, and will no doubt inexplicably win the whole thing with her main character armor.

And why are women fighting men? There's zero separation and the Royal Rumble matches with men and women trying to push each other out was ridiculous. As someone who did martial arts for 12 years, none of this remotely matches real physics.

Hopefully the show ends with Sam getting annihilated in the semifinal and then Zara and Tory fight to a draw in the final and then go have sex.

I binged the 6 episodes in two sittings. I really liked most of this arc...my main complaint was how quickly the Blue Beetle went from practically tearing the captain headband off Robbie ("Watch this") to telling him he's the best around and no one is ever going to keep him down which immediately makes him stop fighting like ass for some reason.

The couple twists in the last episode were entertaining.

Wait, there is another....

that off the charts hot girl that demetri is dancing with is also a fighter with the Brazil team. Zara with her feathered 80s hair style is incredible. Maybe because of her 80s hairstyle and video game character personality.

I will also add that all the Rocky 2 references had me cracking up.

Agreed, Miguel softening up was a bit much, and he should have been the team captain considering Robby's continuous gazes off into space like a fucking moron. However, Miguel being a different person after the round trip makes sense. How is nobody on this show jet-lagged?

Yeah the dancing girl from the club is also off the charts hot. Didn't realize she was on the Brazil team. That team needed more screentime, was awesome seeing some Capoeira. Both of the Iron Dragon captains looked/acted like fighting game characters. Axel looks like a legit martial artist, no stunt doubles for him. They actually wrote themselves into a corner with how indestructible he is. Zara has that taunt where she walks around with a hand on her hip waving with the other and it's 100% a victory pose you'd see in Tekken or something.

Gotta clarify a couple things: One, men fighting women in a point sparring system (which turned out to be most of what they're doing) is actually normal and commonly done (and makes sense as it's pretty much all technique...also I hate point sparring). A brawler like Kenny would be a beast in a real fight but at a disadvantage in point sparring, which the show never makes any sort of thing out of because show. The thing I was beefing about before was men vs women in the Royal Rumble format, where men would have a massive advantage due to weight / upper body, and it was stupid.

I was trying to place the leader of the Uberdojo cause he looked mad familiar, then eventually realized he was Cole, the uncharismatic lead of the new Mortal Kombat. He's actually charismatic here as a bad guy and I actually cared what he was doing unlike MK.

Finished the show. Sam's stunt double sure put in work, and I hope Sam's stunt double got paid handsomely. Looking forward to the end, wondering if it'll be five more episodes or some sort of movie.

Coolest thing about these episodes was that they stayed in the same hotel in Barcelona that I stay in when I go there, the W. Place has a sick view of the Mediterranean cause it's like 200 feet from the water.

As for the finale,
I guess since Kwon is dead, Robby vs Axel now becomes the men's final? Guessing Tory defeats Sam and we get Tory vs Zara in the women's final, at least if there's any sense from the showrunners. That way it's both Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai against the Iron Dragons as the final boss, which would be a fitting ending

Somehow that girl, Zara is 21 and has 13 world taekwondo titles. Competing since she was 2 and is the female Bruce Lee?

Whoa nice. Pretty sure I called it here (or maybe just to the friends I watched it with) that she had done a lot of martial arts in real life, could tell immediately from her body type.

Makes her even hotter. Total goddess material.

As for Taekwondo, it has a much faster turnaround time than most martial arts. I've known people who were a black belt in Taekwondo who had only been doing it for 3 years. In say most forms of Kung-Fu 3 years is pretty much enough to scratch the surface, maybe get halfway to black belt if you're a total prodigy. But yeah, Taekwondo maxes out pretty early compared to most martial arts.

Edit: Yeah, having flat titties is pretty normal in the martial arts world. Not a lot of Tifas running around in real life. Most of the women I did martial arts with long-term were basically flat-chested after a while because they were so lean.
