You guys wanna hear about my football Saturday? First a little backstory. I had surgery in July on my shoulder after a soccer injury. I basically dislocated my shoulder and it broke off the bottom part of the socket and damaged the top ball part of the humorous. Anyways I just completed five months of physical therapy last week. I woke up yesterday to take the dog out, stepped outside onto the steps and it was solid ice. Fell down three stairs to the patio. Fracturing my humorous, dislocated the shoulder, and destroyed the repairs from July. So most of my day was in the ER watching games on morphine. On top of all that they didn't want to put the shoulder back in place till I see a specialist on Monday. So my broken, dislocated shoulder is just hanging here. Yesterday sucked lol
Ummm...go tOSU?

Fuck, I don't know man. Get better.

Missouri is going to get screwed out of the Peach or Orange bowl spot for the SEC almost no matter what happens, short of us making the SEC title game and then beating Alabama(1% chance)

If Missouri wins against Arkansas, we go to the SEC title game, get beat, and take our 3rd loss. 2-loss Georgia goes to a better bowl. If missouri loses to Arkansas, sends Georgia to the SEC title game and loses, both Missouri and Georgia have 3 losses, but Georgia is still ranked higher and gets the better bowl. Bleh

Should be a good game. Missouri's D is better than anything Arkansas has seen outside of Alabama/LSU(and honestly we are close, every team we have played this year, in post-game the opposing coach has stated that we were the best D they've seen all year), and Arkansas scored 14 & 17 points against them, so I can't see them going over 20 against us(and they had both Alabama and LSU at home, not on the road), should be a comparable offensive output. However, our offense is definitely better than Ole Miss or LSU(who Arkansas shut out), and probably closest(but not quite as good) to Georgia out of the teams they have faced (team that wants to run first, but can throw if needed).

So, I'll say Missouri wins somewhere in the neighborhood of 24-14, maybe 24-17.

I was fairly close with my Tennessee prediction
I definitely expect this weekends game to be more like the last time we went to Knoxville, winning 51-48 in OT, rather than the 31-3 beat-down we game Tennessee last year at home.

I don't know that I expect 100 total points to be scored, Tennessee defense is decent and Mizzou's is REALLY good, but it'll definitely be a 1-score game near the end. It's going to be close.

I'll go ahead and throw out a prediction of 28-24 Mizzou.
final score was 29-21.

I'll admit that I think Arkansas is better than Tennessee, but we get Arkansas at home whereas Tennessee was on the road, so that negates the difference in the quality of those two teams(they aren't that far off, we aren't talking Alabama compared to Vanderbilt here). Arkansas is 0-3 on the road in the SEC, they aren't near as good outside of the state of Arkansas.

Total Offense:
UGA 26th
Missouri 101

Scoring Offense:
UGA 7th
Missouri 62nd

Yeah,not quite.

I'm gonna start looking for tickets to the championship game.

And hows this for a stat...

If Auburn and Ole Miss lose this weekend(likely, both are underdogs), only 4 teams in the SEC will have a winning record in conference play. (Alabama, Miss St, Missouri, Georgia). Yet 11 of 14 teams are already bowl eligible, with Tennessee and Kentucky both having 1 last game to try to get there, could be 13 of 14.

And Tennessee's stadium looked like that this past weekend at the end...and so did the swamp at the end when we played Florida. What's your point? That picture was probably a good hour+ before game time I would imagine.

Heres the actual game from this year:

Game was oversold, so many people sitting on the grassy hill without seats that you can't hardly see the giant rock M

No need to be grumpy just because we're about to have as many SEC East titles as Georgia does over the past 9 years(even though we've only been in the league for 3)

AR is on a roll and the natives are going bonkers. You would think they were playing in the SECCG. I mean I'm happy for them and got tons of free shots last night, but they're a little unhinged. I'd be careful!

I'd love to help ruin Bama's season, but the truth is Cooper may break every receiving record in the NCAA. At least I'll be with the in-laws who don't really watch football and have an excuse to act uninterested.

The story of the Mizzou/Arkansas game should be their massive O-line vs our D-line full of athletic freaks and future NFL players. Mizzou has yet to allow an SEC team to rush for over 4 yards per carry in any game this year

UT had 29 carries for 53 yards (1.8 YPC)
A&M - 27 for 104 (3.9)
UK - 36 for 102 (2.8)
VU - 27 for 44 (1.6)
UF - 48 for 135 (2.8)
UGA - 58 for 210 (3.6)
USC - 42 for 119 (2.8)

Missouri has also held every SEC team they've played this year under their season average for offense. Josh Dobbs for Tennessee had been one of the hottest QBs in the country in November, and we just held him to a 16.5 QB Rating and 17 carries for 13 yards.

I think Arkansas is going to have to hit a couple big play-action passes for scores to win this one, which they could, our secondary isn't nearly as good as our front 7 on defense. If all we have to do is line up all day and control the run, I like our chances.
