I'd have to agree with that general assessment of the movie. Sinestro was excellet, the rest of the movie generally sucked ass. If you disagree you clearly suck cocks by choice.

oh I see.
"sinestro's portrayal imo is like heath ledger's joker, i just can't watch it a second time... cuz it's so bad!"

just really bad comma and pronoun use. The run-on sentence confused me.

I read about 3 pages of that new x force book, and It put me to sleep.

Why the fuck do these writers feel they need to explain what is going on in a scene when it's clearly depicted by the artist.

Marvel/DC needs to find writers that understand the importance of good Dialogue, and that comics are not novels....

I bought it, and im probably about to download it, but I'm not sure I can get past the art.

Already looks like Goblin Nation is just a reset button for the infrastructure Superior put in place before Amazing returns in April.

yea pretty sure x-force is going to suck, yet again. god damn simon spurrior(writer) just finished xmen legacy and that was complete dogshit, and now he's on xforce, with art that's really fucked. It's from Kim, a manhwa artist (korean manga). Of course i have nothing again manhwa's (i comment in the manga thread) but keep that shit in korea, oh and this art to me is the low grade independent kind chicken scratch, *sigh* xforce is just going to suck again, cable can have his lolita/daughter complex with marrow, while *yawn* psyloke and famtomx keep on having their love quarrels while fight.

it really is some amusing stuff.
Forever Evil is hitting the right beats too.

And uh... JL3k is good too.

yeah.fucking smilied that.

Althought I don't read JL3K, I find it quite intersting that two of my favorite DC comic books are Injustice: Gods Among Us (My favorite DC book right now.) and Earth 2, books that are set in a different universe from DC's heroes.

I think Injustice has been such a great read, especially the last three issues. Superman killing Ollie/Green Arrow, then showing up at his funeral and Black Canary confronting him and finally this week with Ganthet from their Guardians of the Universe coming to earth with Guy Gardner and meeting Hal Jordan and Barry Allen after they had taken the US Government hostage was for me some of the best comic book reading I've had in quite a while.

It's one of those books you just can't wait for the next issue to come out. For me Injustice and Superior Spider-Man are my two favorite, I can't wait till the next issue hits the stands, comic books.

Yeah, X-Force was awful. With "Solid Snake" Cable and "cutie-psycho" Marrow. No thanks.
Only X-Books I read are Uncanny X-Men and All New X-men, all the rest pretty much suck. I tried reading the new Amazing X-Men because Nightcrawler has always been one of my favorite charcters since Byrne/Claremont but god that book sucked. I picked up the first issue and even gave it a second chance with #2, but it was just so bad.

There is alot of reasoning for why I recommend C-list heroes, indies, and the like.
So much more creative freedom. They CAN die. They can grow. the mainstream stuff can't.
Why is ForeverEvil so good? Because the freedom to have anything occur with the main characters. [spoilers] Power ring died.[/spoiler] not to say death is the only freedom.. Character growth in general. Harley quinn growing as a character, joining Ivy. Joining Birds of Prey. GREAT!. oh. can't have that. Nope, she totally 180's on all her character growth, and goes right back to being a punching back for Joker. Nu52 reboots it all and again, back to ground zero with Quinn.

There is also the issue with crossovers and continuity. Wonderwoman's book is completely ignoring everything else, amusingly. and its FANTASTIC. But at the same time, shes in Justice league and others.
none of that shitty wonderwoman+superman shipping in the Wonderwoman book.

Reboots and stable continuity have a place here as well. Marvel isn't perfect. but by NOT rebooting constantly, there is sort of a timeline for characters. For better or worse at times. but it does allow characters to grow more then DC's rebooting. Cyclops is very different now then he was in the 90's.

I think you will like JL3k if you like Injustice, and Earth2.

Superior was an awesome comic ,but mainly because Humberto is so good at telling a story.
All his characters have so much life to them.

I think he is going to start the new arc soon with Amazing.

OK I haven't read a Spider-Man comic since One More Day, and that was just morbid curiosity after bailing on Ultimate Spidey. But you guys have beat me down, where should I start for Superior?

I haven't read the full run because I don't like when they switch artist's so my suggestion is torrenting an amazing spiderman pack.

Just read these issues

The Amazing Spider-Man #648-651, 654.1, 667-672, 676, 678-679, 684-685, 692-694, 699-700 FCBD '11 (with Dan Slott, Marvel, 2011-2012)

After 700 it rolls into Superior. So can either read all 27 of them, or just the Ramos issues which are 6-8, 14-16, 22-26

spiderman is a cool issue to talk about, especially superior spiderman, i just recently talked to my nephew about him (when i say nephew, he's in college) he grew up with the new spiderman movies and hes an artist so of course mcfarlane spidy. i for all intents and purposes really don't care for spidy, we both agree that he's better as a "guest star" or on a team since he's the comic relief, rather than in his stand alone comics where he fights the son of hobgoblins sister or whatever shit.

he does not like superior spidy, he thinks that doc oc is just so full of himself he's destroying all that spidy made. I take the different opinion, i think he's better. There have always been the "what if, blah blah swapped places!" and they explore it for an issue or 2, or 6 months but usually it's ppl who can't ever measure up.

i.e. recently there was "dark avengers" where wolvie was replaced by dakken, spidy was replaced by venom, hawkeye by bullseye, etc.

but imo superior spidy, spidy finally grows up and does shit.

every other incarnation has spidy, getting younger and dumber.

in ultimate spidy they made him a teen.

then when he died, they made him a pre-teen and black.

Yeah, she is awesome. I have the feeling she is going to be screwed, either a stupid "turn her evil before we kill her off and forget about her" or just, as a character, suffer a crushing loss.

So my internet had been down since yesterday, I decided this is a good time to catch up on some comics I picked up a while back but never picked up to read, a bad habit I have.

Read the first 8-9 issues of Matt Fraction's Hawkeye. I was skeptical that it could live up to all the hype that made me buy them in the first place. The art style is so chunky and the color palette is so monochrome that i thought it would get annoying. So wrong. The layouts and action are so beautifully presented I don't even notice the stuff I thought would bug me. And the writing is outstanding. Just the awesome street level everyday life of an unpowered Avenger are made so engaging. If anyone else has been putting it off, stop. Get up on this shit.

Extermination was another I had for a long time. 8 issue comic from Boom comics. Post apocalyptic setting with weird alien invaders. Batman type guy is teamed up with a ruthless megalomaniacal mad genius type. Lots of funny stuff and some great twists. Give it a try.

Now I have to stop because typing this on my phone is giving me a headache.

In one of the previews for Goblin Nation, they show Pete's current GF knocked over as a pawn piece on a chess board. My guess is, nothing good is going to come of it. She will most likely get the axe.
