Christ I love Harley Quinn in Injustice.

They really nail just the right level of crazy while keeping her a sympathetic character. She's hilarious.

Thor 2 is out, they have her fighting...

Frost Giants, yea stupid dumbass throwaway frost giants.

Looks like 2 personas, thought bubbles is human turned into Thor (wow new powers coolio! stupid shit like that), Speech bubbles is Asgard Thor.

Oh and she's already separated from the hammer by issues end.

Yeah, saw the multiple personality thing in the preview. Interested enough to get me to buy a second issue. To that Harley Quinn post above... hilarious. Half that issue could be posted, so many great lines from her.

Some details on DC's big event:EXCLUSIVE: The Question, Stephanie Brown Feature in DC Miniseries - Comic Book Resources

The announcement of DC Comics' nine-week "Convergence" event series during its regular superhero line's hiatus sparked a lot of speculation amongst fans as to which universes would actually be included. The publisher has revealed part of the mystery, announcing 10 two-part miniseries that each give different looks at pre-"Flashpoint" DC Universe heroes -- which means old favorites like Stephanie Brown as Batgirl, Cassandra Cain, Donna Troy, Wally West (married to Linda Park with kids), Jesse Quick, Barbara Gordon as Oracle, Dick Grayson as Nightwing, Renee Montoya as The Question are back on the table in full force. The plot synopses for the issues also mention "Flashpoint" versions of characters and a mysterious structure called "The Dome."

As someone who's not much of a DC guy, I already feel a little overwhelmed.

Yeah, and apparently Superior Iron Man is set after Axis.

From the first page 'how we got here' recap that every comic has to start with these days apparently:

"...But the psychic fallout changed the personalities of those on the battlefield. While most were eventually restored, a more sinister tony stark evaded changing back...

Hopefully that means Carnage keeps the personality he has now. Reminds me of Venom's first standalone series.

Thor was pretty ho-hum, hits some stuff and loses hammer. Stupid throwaway Roxxon stuff tossed in. Won't be picking up #3.

Grabbed the new Captain America book, but the character in Axis as an inverted-hero he's just a stupid dickhead that makes me not want to read them.

I REALLY like the idea of AXIS, but it's moving so quickly it reads like a What If...? story.

Avengers/Xmen Axis would have been better if it was just Xmen Axis.

Why? the Avengers suck, first of all the premise behind "Axis" is i guess villians/heroes (whoever fought red skull onslaught) is flipped around.

Which is bad, b/c as we saw supervillians acting good is cool and funny, (superhero carnage)

superheroes acting bad, its like they're just rhoid raging.

It's bad when you have crappy black cap america go all high horse emo on peers and superiors, and just "blame it" on Axis. His first major story as new cap, and he's acting like a dick.

Then you have weakass thor being weak, wtf who wants to see this?

The Avengers are now a B team, with a crappy version of cap and a crappy version of thor, wth.

Where if you only had a x-men story and this is all you had

I would lust over it, especially since Kid Apocalypse (that's his real team name) has had 4 years of development, especially one great tease with future deathlok.

But no, we're saddled with B-team Avengers, i guess b/c it took the sacrifice of the Avengers to take out the original Onslaught.

Whereas Every X-man is united. For once in forever the Summers brothers are actually not being assholes to each other, and the X-men proper have accepted Cyclops and his professor-X killing ways back.

And Magneto is now the lone mutant superhero? what?

This would be awesome just this alone, no Avengers crap.

I just started re-reading Uncanny X-Force like 2 days ago. I really liked the way they handled him early on, though no idea how he developed long term. The scene where Deadpool sneaks in to his room at the mansion is one of the sweetest little scenes ever. Or at least it was as I remember it.

Yup, still great.

Yea that shows how much Deadpool really cares for Kid Apocalypse, which would be confusing to many, this scene of his transformation.

I have a hard time seeing a good Apocalypse going on his merry way, expecting Axis to conclude with his sacrifice or something. Natural order/evolution of things, yadda yadda. Probably good Apocalypse + Onslaught = everything's fixed or something. Oh and here's a resurrected Xavier for you on the side. An All-New Xavier Now! version of course.

I just binged on Saga, it is very good. Check it out if you have not. Any other good books like Saga that can be recommended?

Lady Thor seems ok so far, my guess is that it is Frigga, his mom.

Been reading through Alan Moore's run on swamp thing the last few days. Fantastic stuff. I had this on VHS when I was young and I loved it but don't think I ever actually read the comics.

Ok this i believe is really spoiler'y and i think it's cuz most ppl won't remember the horrible series wolverine and the x-men. (some ppl like it, i don't know why) But i remember this one issue, cuz well it was about future Deathlok and he was one of my favs back in the 90's. It's basically future predictions of future Deathlok, but it might be retconned or not even happen cuz of the whole messed up time travel thing.

Crossed is a webcomic, but it seems...interesting. I'll just cut and paste what a friend posted on another forum that got me curious about it. Haven't really read much yet.

So, imagine Walking Dead. Except the zombies aren't mindless and slow. The zombies don't want to eat your brains. The zombies are all lizard-brain. They just wanna stick their dick in things. They turn into rage filled sex beasts.

This is from Garth Ennis (he created the property, this story is written by someone else who is also real good). It'll be well written. It'll be epicly fucked up. Whether or not you'll enjoy it will be determined by the content of page 2. =)

I love the hell out of it. It is not classic comics, but it is great storytelling and really fun and breezy to read.

That web comic was written over the course of 2 years. It's done. Can read the whole story.

A new one is starting up actually written by Garth. There are 2 chapters.

That doesn't interest me, but it's a funny idea. Makes me wonder about other post-apocalyptic comics in general though. Wasteland/Fallout stuff could be cool.
