I actual just did that last week, issue has been going on since I switched to these monitors.

Do they have any sort of adaptive sync? You also could try enabling traditional v-sync just to see if that affects it.

Edit: shit, forgot one of the obvious culprits: cables. Try swapping in some other cables and making sure you have the highest rated HDMI or DP specs.

What's the easiest way to get into someones laptop after they died?

I don't have the laptop with me, so no idea what version of windows it is etc. It's currently with my uncle, I could ask my sister if I could collect it from her. But no point if it is not an easy task

depends on windows, if it's 7, it's as easy as going into safemod and forcing a new usr/pw

which imo would still be beyond the ability of a woman

If it is win10 and you dont want to access the data you can just factory reset.
if you want the data you can pull out the hard drive and connect it to a working computer with an SATA to USB connector.

The actual pain in the ass will be removing the HD from the laptop. The rest is easy peasy.

I found it quite useful to have an external enclosure for SSD, M.2, and a DVD drive so you can USB in. No messing with the internals at all, each is $30 or less for good quality ones.

Cloning, transfering, console space management, old disc installs, etc it solves a lot of problems.

I'm running into an issue with my LGC1 55" "monitor" where sometimes when I try to pull it back from sleep mode it just won't.

Removing and replugging the HDMI doesn't work, CTRL+ALT+DLT doesn't work, etc. I just have to turn off my PC and turn it back on.

I do turn off the TV every time I'm done using it, so I don't get screen burn or something. And it does turn back on 90% of the time. But it's pretty annoying when I have to restart my PC.

The C1 was weird with a pc which is why i got rid of it. It presented a bunch of issues that my CX48 never had similar to what you’re experiencing. The C2 42 was just $999 and Asus more PC oriented 42 and 48 inch screens just came out.

get some shorter cables if you have 10ft

Amazon Basics HDMI Male to Male Cable, 48Gbps High-Speed, 8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz, Double-Shielded Nylon-Braided, Ethernet Ready, 6 Foot, Dark Gray

might be too long for the signal to reach, only linking the amazonbasics cable cuz it was rated high and it fixed my black screen issues on tv to htpc

Shouldn't be the issue. I'm using 6 ft certified cables.
i mean if it were me (and it was) i'd just buy it and if it didn't work i'd just return, but if it did fix it, then thats like a $7 asprin

cuz i'm sure this is causing you headaches

This morning. My PC just shut off in the middle of doing something. It will turn on but then quickly turns off.

Where do I start looking for issues?

Hmm could be your power supply? Possibly CPU or GPU overheating? Had something similar years ago when my Antec PSU went bad.

Nevermind I found it. The tension latch on my heatsink came undone and gravity did the rest. RIP cpu. It had been sitting in this position for 5 or so years.
