And why the colors are so dead?? Just watch the anime ffs
Is this the Zack Snyder cut?
Holy shit. I realized now the guy is 49.Biggest problem is the picked a 50 yr old man to play Spike, Cho looks fucking hammered.
but he's asian, aging like a white guyHoly shit. I realized now the guy is 49.
Lol this is way worse when in teen comedies, the actors are 20 something.
Not really what I wanted, but would be happy to be wrong.
the actors are just shit, only the soundtrack and the dog will be the saving graceWow my expectations were low, and somehow this was still disappointing.
How do you get the tone of the show so far from the mark? Everything was bad, from the actors (For Spike and Faye), to the atmosphere, to again, just the tone.
This felt more like a live action Archer than live action Cowboy Bepop. Yeah, there were funny, light hearted moments in Bepop--but never to the point that the action felt campy or comedic (Like, say, Archer--which this feels like)

so cringe, so horrible, white ppl will love it
they should have went the Scanner Darkly route, they could have drawn tits on Faye and made Cho look like a 28 yrs old.
I don't think Cho's look is too terrible, honestly. Problem is, the dude can't act for shit. I said from the beginning that the Faye choice was fucking retarded. If you can't get a slender, big titty bitch at least get a THICC big titty bitch or a slender no titty bitch. They went with literally the worst of both worlds. She's chubby and has zero boobs - God's cruelest gift.
or at least hire an attractive big titty female and young charismatic actor.
instead we get boy-body moonface and mr miyagi. how fucking hard is this?
Can't really blame it on the actors, no amount of acting would have saved the tone and atmosphere of that trailer, that's the real problem.
Edit: Compare with the original Cwoboy Bebop Funimation trailer:

deathnote animeI would love to blame the actors but I think it was fucked long before they even signed on. Have you see any of the other Netflix live actions. If not you should watch the American Death Note. For some reason director's absolutely love to get their hands on a beloved franchise and then take a giant steaming shit on the source material. You can tell from the trailer alone this won't follow any of the anime beyond the name. I have never understood why so many directors love to do this shit and then fuck it up.
Imagine if Peter Jackson when making Lord of the Rings set the books on fire and just filmed scat porn instead. That is NetFlix in a nutshell.
