Yeah I can't remember the specifics but I think it was after Hebdo and the usual suspects (me, you, khalid, hodge, frenzied, etc) drove him off in a huff and a puff. He did what they all do. He told us to read the Koran. As if an hour's worth of pay and a few days reading is some impossible task that only high level scholars are able to achieve.

i never did that, not because i am a dudley doright, i mean i kinda was in EQ because your rep was your key to getting good groups/guilds and all my twinks were guilded, but i did trade some shitty kunark gear +an FBSS for a cloak of flames and a rez stick. dude even thanked me for it. a few days later i get a /tell from same guy saying, "hey! that trade wasnt very good, you scammed me" or some such, i told him i didnt even have those items anymore (i lied, i still have them on a twink 16 years later), but i felt bad and told him i would powerlevel him and help his guild out in raids if i could. dude accepted that and i did their little noob raid and healed the guy and got him 5 levels. easiest thing ever and i was off the hook. yay

Well, that was before I had even established my main character. Absolutely no way that guy knew me. Obviously you don't scam/steal shit on your main character Chuk. Come on.
Shortly after I established my main character, a regular male DE cleric that I played and raided with for my entire time playing. But throughout all of EQ I had like two lvl 12 trading alts that I did shady ass shit with when opportunities presented themselves. They weren't in my guild and nobody knew I had them. I occasionally sold some poop-sock level items so people assumed I could be trusted. Caveat Emptor bitches.

First bans, then posts disappearing, and now entire threads. They would have been just fine with our brand of humor.
And our greatest fear was that if we waited, they would slowly ramp up the rules and changes and by the time we wanted to move elsewhere, they'd be able to prevent it by....banning people and deleting posts.
The whole premise that we should stay in the water and wait for them to turn it up slowly to boiling to save the most people could not have been more 180 degrees opposite of correct possible.

So I had a boss once that was bitching at me about something that happened at like 2 AM and I responded via pager duty within 10 minutes and he wanted it in 5 minutes. He then claimed he would page me random times all week. I looked him in the eyes and explained to him that he would then to have to set an alarm and wake up his family and it wouldn't bother me, I was alone.
He realized he was punishing himself. It is Sunday night right now and 11 EST and these guys are having to delete threads and posts and ban people. They have punished themselves into this situation.

I've been following that thread all day. I do not think they ever locked it. They locked the second one made by 'pvpirl', but not the 3-page one we're in now. I don't think it was ever locked.
