It's like someone watched Black Sails and said "I could tweak this a bit, do it for less money and on top of it I can even get John Malkovich!". It's a shame they didn't allocate that budget savings towards the writing team.

Watched the first episode. Show is bad. Production wise, reminds me of Stargate: Atlantis, and not in a good way. Gets better?
