It is the old show. All the Netflix shows are officially MCU canon now. That's why they retooled and brought back like Foggy and Karen.

Time flies. Season 1 of Netflix Daredevil was 10 years ago at this point. Good news that Season 2 of Born again is already filming.

So 9 episodes this year, Punisher special 2026, 8 episodes 2026. Will see if they can course correct Kingpin after his Hawkeye portrayal.

I was encouraged when I heard D'onofrio say that he was able to fully bring back the character as he had originally portrayed him

For one ad break, two ad breaks, and to kill cops (albeit crooked ones) at some point in the future, respectively.

Yet again, I am not sure why PR departments decide to burn goodwill just to goose premiere numbers.

Lot of chatter online that this Disney Season 1 is really a frankenstein mish-mash of the original Disney Season 1 with whatever reshoots the new showrunners were given money to do.

E.g. Foggy and Karen weren't in that original version of the premier, so instead of a scene writing them out off-screen, they filmed and tacked on new bits to the opening.

First 2 episodes were fine. Not big on the Matt snapping and killing people.

Also dumb that they keep killing off his supporting cast. Except the one that actually dies in the comic.

I though episode 1 was a little rough, the fighting felt like it was Netflix Daredevil glazed w/ MCU VFX work... just a bit too much of the obvious FX department usage w/ all the smoke, etc. Episode 2 was a lot better, in part because it was an excellent episode on it's own and without any Daredevil in it. Good world / story building, really just good TV in general.

Embarrassingly bad CGI, Kingpin is a sniveling cuck pussy, idiotic to nonsensical plot points, almost no Daredevil and for retarded and cliched reasoning.

"How about we start off with a badass flight scene, and make half of it be offscreen or hidden by smoke!!"

The more you think about it, the dumber it all gets

CGI at the beginning of the first episode was pretty awful.

Rest is decent. Fight between Murdock and shitcops actually felt better than 90% of what Disney has produced martial arts wise in at least half a decade.

Lifehack - If you watch it on your phone, it's harder to tell CGI is terrible.

Clark Johnson (Cherry) was my favorite character from Season 5 of The Wire.

White Tiger actor, I had no idea he had died.

Other than that, the show is "Disney" so far, but willing to keep going.
