They were gonna retcon all the Netflix stuff and just pick and choose canon. Then the behind the scenes stuff changed, and because of the hype about Cox and D'Onafrio coming back, they retooled to make the Netflix shows all canon.I think it was that Emergency Awesome video that mentioned the Daredevil show began production under the old Marvel model, then midway through they tried to transition it to the newer model. That may be why the show in part feels somewhat dysfunctional
Yeah that scene is the best one so far of the season. Looking forward to more from that conversation.Episode 4 was pissing me off as much as episode 3 (if not more) until about half way through where there's a scene that was blatantly part of the rewrite. It was awesome enough to buy them a few more episodes of my attention.
i'm really enjoying the show so far, some of it is a bit shaky but it was in the originals too. I fucking LOVED seeing Frank back and the trial of White Tiger did not go at all like I thought. first I thought the snitch would exonerate him, then he was seemingly going to get a guilty verdict.
i like how matt tells him point blank he can never go out and be a vigilante again and the fucker completely ignores that advice and dies his first night. I think thats the core of the show, these guys who know they shouldn't be vigilantes but can't help themselves. very Batman-esque I guess. The build up of Matt trying so hard to avoid it but slipping slowly is great.
no clue who blood guy is or who actually killed white tiger, clearly it wasn't the dirty cop since his heartbeat was normal and matt obviously picked up on that. Fisk staying scary, I wonder if his bloody knuckles are against adam or if he is having extra curricular criminal activities. Interesting hint he told Vanessa about chaos before rebuilding and he has bigger goals, but is keeping them from her. President Fisk seems a bit too corny, so I wonder what his long term goals are.
i like matt's new hottie love squeeze way more than Karen. and goddamn that cutie latvian ADA is also wanting some daredevil dick
yeah i agree its not amazing stuff, and so much of the show requires you have watched the original - you won't have a fucking clue about the Punisher stuff unless you did - but as you said they are rehashing old ground a lot. Killing Foggy off episode 1 was a mistake imo, the new characters aren't as compelling as Foggy so missing him as Matt's "good side" is a huge hole in the show, especially since we've gotten zero daredevil in 3 episodes.
I don't think Vanessa cheated on him while he was in prison, its something to do with the Echo show (i didn't watch) where she shot him in the head or something and he had to ??? get surgery ??? or something, i dunno i thought she killed him in that show but like i said i didn't watch so no clue. I'm pretty sure nobody watched it so pretty much everyone is confused as to what the fuck is going on with Vanessa and Fisk, other than he didn't tell her fuck all for a year I guess and she fucked Adam the Cage Man cuz he has nice hands
that was some cold funny shit though, like you could see her daydreaming about the dicking adam gave her when she started talking about his hands, lololol
If you recall back to the Netflix show, Kingpin tried to soften himself or make himself overly sensitive thinking Vanessa would like it, but she was turned off and preferred him to be ruthless. They could be repeating a similar plot point in this show with the whole Adam subplot and the rocky relationship - I wouldn't be shocked if Adam is all but dead after being starved/tortured/etc and Vanessa finds out and is like "I needed to test you to see if you were the man i fell in love with" and things are fine between the two of them again.
