You should probably go play a game that you aren't so bad at. I think there's a new Lego game out.I figured out why I find the game boring. DS1 was a good mix of strategy and manual dexterity. You fucked up and died, you figured out why and changed your tactics and/or improved your skill at combat. DS2 is 100% manual dexterity and I've never found pressing buttons quickly to be all that thrilling. All the added difficulty is just gamey shit. Slow the hero down, speed the mobs up, and throw 3, 4, 5 at you at a time.
I also wish weapons were balanced better. Normal sized weapons vs 2h type weapons. 2h's get much more damage and far greater range, and what's the trade-off? A few more milliseconds of recovery time? I can't really tell.

Wow, dude. Thank you for diagnosing my MPD. I had no idea I had written a post where I said the game was too hard. I better call a shrink and get on meds right away. You should probably go play a game that you aren't so bad at. I think there's a new Lego game out.
If you're unable to figure out how to improve your odds through strategy, or so inept that you can't tell that light 1-handers have certain advantages over heavy 2-handers, this game probably isn't for you.

If you read the fucking thread you'd have seen where I mentioned that I forgot to pack my 2 controllers when I moved from Cali to Texas, and I can't fucking afford to buy a new one right now. And it's not continuous complaining, it's merely responding to others. So, in short, fuck you.The KB/m complaints are so tired. Yea, it's dumb, but why the fuck don't you have a gamepad from DS1. Just get over it. Christ
Yeah head back the other way, 3 sentinels is going to be a few more levels.I think I went the wrong way. After downing the giant and Persuer dude, I flew via the bird over to the new area and now I'm stuck at those 3 sentinel dudes(the one on the ledge and then the other 2 attack) I've died to the simultaneous 2 like 20 times. I try to avoid looking at any spoilers unless I'm totally stuck, I saw IGNs guide online, and their bosses were listed in such an order that they had like 2 or 3 bosses listed before these sentinel guys.
I must have totally missed an area somewhere, but wouldn't it make sense to take the bird that you get access to after beating the Persuer?
Do I need to get the falling reduction ring to be drop down the hole back in town? Otherwise, I don't remember seeing another possible route.Yeah head back the other way, 3 sentinels is going to be a few more levels.
Go into the chapel in town and it'll lead to another area.Do I need to get the falling reduction ring to be drop down the hole back in town? Otherwise, I don't remember seeing another possible route.
Yeah but if you can't handle the 3 sents the hole will be a nightmare. You are correct, you need to go back to town and go down a new path. The entrance to where you want to go will be blocked but there's a way to open it.Do I need to get the falling reduction ring to be drop down the hole back in town? And don't do like I did and get a double kill and lose the fucking drop.Joe, go back to Majula and take the pathway through the mountain right before the Champion's Tablet, that will lead you to Heide's Tower of Flame where you can pick up the HP ring and farm some good souls, 500+ per mob. There is also a single spawn enemy that will drop an item to +1 your flasks.
Sounds to me like your issues with 1 handed weapons are related to the problems with m/kb controls.I figured out why I find the game boring. DS1 was a good mix of strategy and manual dexterity. Cathedral boss isn't that bad. I found him far easier than Pursuer myself. Almost completely optional though so no rush.Joe, go back to Majula and take the pathway thirough the mountain right before the Champion's Tablet, that will lead you to Heide's Tower of Flame where you can pick up the HP ring and farm some good souls, 500+ per mob. Don't go into the cathedral yet unless you wanna get face-raped.
Hmmm, that sounds interesting. There's a few shitty workarounds using AHK, that I haven't wanted to fuck with just yet, but if it will make my 1h weapons swing faster I might just have to. Thanks for the tip.Sounds to me like your issues with 1 handed weapons are related to the problems with m/kb controls.
One handers are definitely not weak, and I much prefer them to 2-handers. They are essential for fighting multiple mobs because you can attack quickly and still have enough time/stamina to get your shield up or roll away from the other mobs attacks. However they probably do suck if you can't attack quickly because of m/kb.
This is a part of the strategy element that you claim is missing.
