Cant remember off hand, I know it does a base of 180 something but not sure about the extra damage.

What's the scaling for STR on those bad boys?

Basically I'm looking for a good 2hand sword, but all I've found is a claymore and it requires dex (str build). I'm only 5 hours in, and not even to the second boss, so I'm not too worried. Just wasn't sure if it was worth farming those guys.

I dunno if it gets better as you level it up in terms of scaling or not, tbh. Think it starts at D.

I got a frost long sword named something like ilyrthic sword or something that I think might be better at +4 but I didnt have enough twinkling titanite to get it there to find out. Think it came off an ice beast or something.

35 hours in so far. The Dark Sword from the darkwraiths is awesome. For sure worth farming.

That armor set is a pretty decent balance between weight and damage mitigation.

Breastplate looks stupid with the hair cloak and the tree branches sticking out of the shoulders.

Usually I run a light armor + 2h sword str build, so I'm looking for a decent light weight set too. Unfortunately those transformed dudes absolutely destroy me still, haven't found a reliable way to kill them besides backstabbing before they transform. I am just a scrub.

Just bum rush them and hit them.

Thats all I do, dash past everything else and just kill the transformer before he changes.

Not that it is required or anything but there's a pretty decent soul farming spot after Pontiff Sulyvahn (not sure if minor boss names need to be spoilered or anything). I only had about 45 minutes this morning before heading out and didn't want to commit to starting a new area. There's like a 5 minute or less circuit that nets 15k - 16k souls per clear. Almost no danger of losing them and clear really quick.

For the one on the rooftops: lurehim to the ladder, climb up and lob firebombs at him.

For the one near the beginning of the area: run away when he transforms, stick to the curved staircase that leads up to him. Play hit and run, lobbing firebombs at him.

Firebomb the fuck out of them, then never bother with them again.

werd, I'll just cheese them if it's a one-time drop thing. Kind of an annoying enemy.

The mimics really pissed me off a lot more than the transformers, tbh. Pretty much one hit kill you at the point you first encounter one, target lock keeps dropping on them, and if you try to range cheese them they duck out of LOS constantly. Getting the Dark Axe was worth the effort of killing the first one early, though.

I've noticed that estus flasks regenerate charges after a while, may be tied to how many souls you get. Or ezmode is accidentally activated in my copy.
I don't think the regeneration of estus flasks happens with time, but rather when you are in the same location as someone that uses an ember. So it can happen randomly. Not sure if you need to be at a low number of estus flasks for it to happen.
EDIT: Just checked. It can happen when someone kindles the bonfire you were last at.

In regards to the katana that you get early, it is really good, but not close to the best weapon in the game. For my sorc I infused it with raw to remove scaling since I just barely had the stats to use it (scaling was pointless) until I got a weapon that scaled with the stats I used.

When it comes to weapons that uses small/large regular titanite, just upgrade as you please. You will have far more than you need. Once you start using named weapons from boss souls, they will use other upgrades which are rarer. For regular titanite weapons, it is just the final +10 upgrade that has a limited amount of stones. I know Bloodborne only had 1 upgrade per playthrough to get to +10, but I think DS3 has 5 or 6.

The problem I see with a 2H str build using light armor is that's two things working directly in opposition to each other. Without the poise from medium/heavy armor you've got little to no super-armor frames on your attacks. I'm using heavy weapons myself, but I went for the dex ones after seeing a video of the Farron Greatsword's moveset last week. 40 dex/end, just enough str to equip the sword, 27 vig for 1000 non-cinder hp, and however much vit I need to stay under 70%. You could swap dex and str if you prefer the ultra str weapons instead of the dex ones, but the nice thing about dex is that there's always a boss or two that just shit all over big slow weapons and going dex allows you to swap in a uchigatana or some other fast weapon to fuck them up.

P.S. Take a look at the sunbro armor. The chest and legs in particular are notable for having a poise:weight ratio that is greater than 1. You get it from
giving stuff to the crow girl. Specifically, homeward bone, lightning urn, siegbrau, and seed of a giant tree.

I just use the Dark Sword/Butcher Knife as a str build if i need something fast. The Farron gsword looked more flashy then anything; don't think that spin move is going work too well on bosses but I could be wrong.

Fashion Souls, bro. The only armor to wear is the armor that makes you look cool.

What do you mean about super-armor frames?

I am getting estus refills in offline mode. It is not necessarily bound to someone else doing something.
