If you can believe it, DayZ was actually patched back in June and they plan to launch another one but no idea on a time frame.

The concept of the game is great, but the very small amount of players per server plus trivial zombie AI killed it. I remember the FoH crew taking over an entire server and that would have been really fun if the server population would have been double. We ended up harassing like 1 guy because there was only 4 open slots not counting us.

Game is in worse shape than the mod was when it first popped up. It's kind of impressive how little progress they've made.
