While you are at Microcenter you can also look into cases, sometimes they have deals on some cases, you can see them in person at least to see if you like it, the build quality, cable management....also the Kingston 120gb SSD is on sale there for $70. You can also get the CPU cooler there. They are the same price as newegg, sometimes even cheaper. Also dont forget about case fans. Most cases these days only come with one or two case fans, you want to pick up a couple extras. I think they have the Kingwin 120mm case fans for like $4, which is a good deal. Its also nice to have a few spares around when they start to make noise or some shit.

Is this the right one?ASRock H87M Pro4 Socket LGA 1150 mATX Intel Motherboard 620500 - Micro Center

Looks the same to me in the name and description etc, but the picture is slightly different from what was originally linked. I just don't want compatibility issues. It comes up for $49.99 when I do it along with the $189.99 CPU, not a bad deal it seems.

Also, what is the difference with this black series 1tb HD for like $84? It seems you can get other 1tb HDs for like ~$60. Maybe it is better in some way I don't know about though.
Couple things to look for:
-Make sure it's the 1150 chipset - you're good there

-The "H" in H87 vs the "Z" in Z87 basically relates to overlocking. "Z" motherboards are made for overclocking, and are going to have more robust built-in options in the bios for overclocking your CPU. If you are getting a "K" model processor, you probably want to pair it with a "Z" motherboard, both of those relate to overclocking, the "K" is an unlocked CPU that can be overclockd(i5 4670k), and the "Z" motherboard has the tools built-in to do so.

-mATX refers to (m)icro ATX, which is a smaller than normal ATX motherboard. The only real thing here to watch for is to make sure you have enough expansion slots to do everything you want to do, sometimes a mATX compared to a full ATX motherboard may have less video/PCI-e slots, or something of that sort in order to save space. The only other reason to prefer ATX to mATX is that all the stuff on a regular ATX board is spread out more, and I find them easier to install with my large hands. mATX can get a little cramped when working on it.

Personally, I'd just go with this for $15 more:Micro Center - Computers, Electronics, Computer Parts, Networking, Gaming, Software, and more!

I find that people VASTLY overestimate how much PSU they need and completely 100% don't understand efficiency ratings. I run 780 SLi off a 750 watt Seasonic unit made by Antec.

Well my build turned out pretty good. Really happy I waited on this NZXT H440 case cause its sexy as fuck. Cable management is a breeze and dont miss not having any optical drives. Only thing is I installed the Asus Al Suite and ran the optimization and now my fans are always running full time. Never should of fucked with that software.

you can click on asus ai and under settings uncheck fan monitor/sensor stuff like that. i did the same thing and use speedfan, was wondering wtf happened, just picked up a 8320 from microcenter (don't worry i don't game, it's a business/work pc so i actually use all 8 cores) with asus mb and ddr3 ram. i just moved to nj and a microcenter was nearby. Quite literally it's a computer builders nerd heaven, and holy shit even tv's were cheap! (and i have a projector too and wanted a new tv just cuz) I had to literally force myself away from almost every aisle.

anyway the 8320 is my work/business computer so i just wanted easymode overclocking, loadedup asus ai, and it oc'd it to 4200 stable. I could probably eek out 4600 (i'm on water) but i'm not gonna bother trying to get a few hundred more mhz and chance instability.

RR bro's, I need your help on choosing a 27" IPS monitor. The only catches are it has to be from Microcenter, around 300 bucks and have the ability to be mounted. I don't know shit about them so I'd really appreciate it.

if it absolutely has to be from microcenter(I assume you have a gift card or store credit or something)

But I'd really try to work out some way to get a 1440p Qnix off of Ebay for $300 instead.

Unfortunately I do have a $150 gift card I need to blow on something. Anyone need a gift card, lol.

When does response time start having an issue with gaming? I used to get destroyed on my first LCD because it had a horrible response time and I couldn't figure out why I was dying so much for years.

If you want standard might need to look elsewhere. I could be wrong but I think the bottom modifier row is non-standard, especially the space bar. So if you ever need to replace key caps you're at the mercy of Corsair.

That said, it has a solid back-plate and 100% red switches (the original vengeance board was hybrid mech/rubber dome) so get it if you want, but personally I prefer Costar boards when considering standard TKL (cm rapid, rosewill, filco, etc.).
Good consideration, kind sir. This came in today, and it's a fine keyboard. I've been using MS ergo keyboards since 2000, so I've temporarily lost the ability to touch type. I got the one with the Cherry MX brown buttons. and they are quite nice.

I'm pretty sure Microcenter had rebranded koreans at ~300$ but I can't manage to find them anymore (Auria was the brand or something similar).

I want to say they had a Korean sounding brand when I was in the store but I couldn't remember if it was the one everyone recommended here (QNIX), I'm pretty sure it was Auria or something similar like you said.

Okay so I got my box built. i5-4670K, 8 GB Ram and a ASUS GTX 770.

Now I need recommendations on good gaming monitors. I eventually want to have three, but one right now will do to get started.

Give me some options.

I don't have any specific suggestions, but the general one I would give is to not skimp on your monitor. It'll probably last you 2-3 times as long as the PC you built will. I've got a 24" Dell that's getting close to 10 years old, and it was money well spent.
