WTF do you need 240 hz for? Were reaching to point of absurdity. I guess if you're a pro CS GO player?

I guess if it makes the 144hz tech cheaper....
It all goes hand-in-hand. Even 144hz will eventually be phased out for 240hz, which in turn be replaced by higher.

The real best thing about this is that response times need to be good to match high refresh rates, and since high refresh is a prime marketing feature now, a lot of focus is in the panel supporting it. It's why we're seeing such nice advances in IPS response times.

Even if you are competitive it is diminishing returns. The gap from 60 to 144 is huge but from 144 to 240 is minimal. Linus even did a video with shroud and some others that demonstrated it.

It is good for the tech but really about zero for the user.

Yeah and plus it would be hard to push modern graphic intense games at such framerates anyway especially at 1440p. So yeah, like I said, an older game like CS:GO? Maybe, but anything modern? Good luck, shit, good luck even hitting 150fps.

What mice are people using for gaming? I've had a few Deathadders which I really liked but I'm not paying top dollar for a Razer mouse that breaks after a year again. I've been using a Logitech G203 for the last 6 months as it was cheap and cheerful but it's developed an annoying double click issue.

One thing I don't like is gaming mice with weird geometry. I just want a good quality 5-6 button mouse that doesn't look like a spaceship on my desk.

Veering towards Microsoft Intellimouse Shadow Pro, the original Intellimouse was probably the best mouse I've ever used, it lasted forever. Anyone used a newer version ms mouse?

There's so many brands I've not heard of on Amazon so if there's some brand that's good quality, feel free to mention them.

I think you've said you prefer to game at 60hz because of all that. But really 144 is such a nice sweet spot right now

Fuck Razer anything. Go logitech or Microsoft. Logitech would probably warranty your mouse. I use their silent one at work so i can play league of legends without everyone hearing 3 clicks a second, shh. Weird that your clicker broke, but I've never used that particular one. Playing mobas or diablo 2 definitely is alot of clicking but I've never had that problem on a logitech at least.

I'm using a Corsair Scimitar, but not sure I'd recommend it. In general I like the MMO mice with a bunch of buttons on the thumb. I just don't like some of the textures used on the side of this mouse and have been thinking about switching as I don't feel like I can really relax my hand at all while using it, it's hard to explain.

Had a ROCCAT Nyth modular mouse that I liked. My last Logitech died (double clicking issues) so on a bit of a break from their mice.

For MMO gaming the 2012 Razers with the numpad switch on the bottom was the last time i considered them good. Once those died I switched to the Logitech G600, only have to load up the software once to set the onboard lighting and keybind settings then you can plug and play on any computer. I prefer using numpad numbers for the mouse buttons which then also opens up Ctrl+numpad keys too.

I'm in love with my Roccat Tyon. The software can be a bit tricky but once you're setup it's the best button placement config i've found yet. Super comfortable. Roccat was recently bought by Turtle Beach though.

I have a Logitech G402 which is cheap as fuck. $22 on Amazon. I've only had it two months, but I really like it so far. Not a million buttons, comfortable, lightweight. I dig it so far.

Not only that but 150 fps is about the limit of even the best human eyes.

I'm way more interested in advances to Backlight Strobing, OLED, and other such tech. I don't play competitive FPS, so image quality and overall immersion (UW) are more important.

Sure, one day I guess we'll all be playing at 1000 FPS/Refresh and that won't be a bad thing, but right now all these monitors suffer from overshoot/smearing and making them faster is not solving that problem. Also, this "1ms GtG response time" is just pure marketing bollocks, and everyone knows it. But hey, everyone is doing it, so they all get a pass.
