What this feels like to me is that they took the changes that they were going to put into D3 and folded them into D2 and put out a starter story that will build over time. Which is fine, but it was not presented as such. They built up hype on the new armor system and going back to the moon. The hype for this game is nearly always a let down, with the exception of Forsaken. One of the unfortunate things about them separating from Activision is, that they lost access to the studios that did most of the work on Forsaken and Warmind. I expect to see more locations from D1 getting folded into D2 as well, even if it is temporary content.

Yeah I mean to me at least its not a bad thing. D1 content was cool. But to others they will bitch about it im sure.

I just think they really need work on their reward systems. Take strikes for an example, they are still fun as hell to do even if you did them 100 times before and a core to this game. How fucking hard would it be to add some strike specific loot to them that the community has been asking for for 2 yrs now? Maybe rotate it around every season. Shit even add some of the good D1 wepons back to them with random rolls. Imagine how hard poeple would grind out some strikes if they knew getting a fatebringer was a possibility off the boss. These new haunts are another example. Really cool content but with no fucking intrinsic rewards.

And no, nighfalls dont count. Those you actually have to invite people for which is a fucking mess especially with steam now, lol. I want the match made strikes to have specific loot on them. IMO nighfalls should be matchmade anyways. Yeah its a hard strike but it does nto take the coordination that of a raid.

Truth. One improvement they made was for Ordeal Nightfalls. They Match make the first 2 tiers, the 2nd 2 you want to bring a crew. The rewards scale. Positive movement IMO. They really should run with that.

Bringing D1 weapons and stuff in strikes would be dope.

Can I no longer solo Nightfalls? I used to load into Nightfalls solo to knock out Vanguard bounties quickly, but now it's matchmaking me.

The first 2 levels of nightfall have matchmaking.. the others do not.

Click the third selection on the far right. That's the old card-based nightfall.

Still, the expansion wasn't worth $34.99.
The expansion was effectively $25 and came with a $10 season bundled. You can't buy SK without the season, but you could play free and get the season without SK.

The Moon is the largest patrol area in the game if you include all the caves and shit, and the Lost Sectors are the best in the game. The raid is a good length and is probably the best looking area in the history of Destiny, not to mention the great music. The weapons are really good and the exotic has such a unique perk that probably everyone should get it.

Vex Offensive is Season of the Undying and is not SK.

Still lookin for homies to play with. LL 941, would like to do 950 nightfalls / raids(old and new!), group quests, etc. It's a little lonely out here!

I just finished Forsaken and I'm finally on Shadowkeep. I will say vanilla Destiny 2 wasn't that good, but what they've done with the game now is very fun. I've played through Vanilla and Forsaken legacy and I can't say it hasn't been fun. It's been very easy though, but I hope the PVEVP is more difficult.

Yeah the leveling content is always easy. Where this games PvE ramps up is at the high end in things like nightfalls and raids. If you want to challenge yourself and see some pinnacle type PvE in action, try to solo the Shattered Throne, shit or even do it with a team of 3. Or do Outbreak Perfected or the Black spindle quest. Some of the weapon quest strikes are a bitch too, like the Thorn comes to mind, or there was another one like that in dreaming city, oh yeah the gambit exotic hand cannon had a strike that was pretty difficult too.

PvP only gets more difficult as you get better with their match making algorithms. You reach a point where if youre good, you will be matched with others that are really good for some sweaty ass matches. Then there is always competitive to fux around with. Now this season I hear its much easier than seasons past, but I have not even gotten into competitive yet this season so I cannot say from first hand but I hear that this season its the last seasons quick play.

I havent really played much crucible yet, just doing my weekly shit across 3 characters so far but I was watching a stream last night (Gigz) before bed and he was testing some shit, namely the Hand Cannon range nerfs and they are all pretty much hit pretty hard. Dmg fall off is pretty much 30m for most HCs give or take 5 yards. So to hit that magical 3 shot kill witht he 150s of 140s or 4 shot with the 180s you pretty much have to be within 30 m. Not only this, all hand cannons suffer from random shots missing now when crossed the 50 m threshold. This is when the RNG shit hits in and even if you absolutely aim for the head you might get a body shot or even miss all together. So it seems there is some bloom introduced past a certain range as well, roughly 50m give or take 5m. And based from his stream 30m might sound like a lot but its really not that far.

Its funny because for the past few seasons we got some really nice HC, even a lot of the exotics they brought out were more HCs, Thorn, Rose, etc... And on the PC HCs were like the premire weapons being used in crucible. Not sure on console, I know the 180s were really popular on console though. But now it seems like they are in a shitty state.

Now the crucible that I did play so far is riddled again with pulses and scouts (scouts namely for the scout PvP pinnacle) Not sure if this is a good thing or bad, its early to tell but I know when I took my rangefinder rampage Pulperfect which I pulled from the seasonal thing, man I gotta say I was doing really well with it. It has great range and hits hard and easy to stay on target because of the low recoil and low rate of fire. I was hitting 33 for head shots and when rampage kicked in for full 3 stack I fI remember right I was up to 36 per head shot.

I also tried the good trusty full auto kill clip Bygones and just like before this thing melts. I went into a match with it and scored the highest on my team with a 2 something K/DR which is pretty fucking good for me. Now of course it could be the lobby, more noobs these days? Who knows. but I think that the pulse meta is back folks. Which is not a bad thing, as weve been dealing with the hand cannon meta for too fucking long on PC.

There also seems to be more of the hand holding going on like back in yr one, not sure if this is because of more noobs in crucible? Btu it seems like there is way more team shotting goign on than the past few seasons.

Wanna really fuck some people up in Crucible? Monte Carlo. People do not even know how to react to an Auto-Rifle in PvP lol.

Like I said man, that pulperfect was fucking up peeps. I also have a 600 rpm AR I wanna try from the armory shit, remember those that were dropping randomly from the forges? Yeah I got a few of those to test out too that rolled with kill clips and rampages. Galliard something or other?

Yeah here is a couple...

And here is my pulperfect roll which IMO is god roll... You dont even need an outlaw roll on this thing as the relaod is pretty fast. Ill take rangefinder over outlaw on this thing all day long.

Monte is great for those melee builds like warlocks or shoulder charging Titans. As each buffs the other.

I've got a somewhat nice pulse rifle for PVP and the thing is great because it's a power weapon using normal ammo. Not sure how I can find my d2 profile online to share it.

Almost to that fucking throwing knife boys.

I don’t even know why I want it, I know it’s good, but the effort required is kind of insane given how limited my play time is. I’ve been using MIDA since D1 pretty much 100% of the time in my loadout unless running Jade Rabbit instead, lol. So it makes sense for me as a player, but holy shit this is harder than the Recluse for me. I’m a comp player and was in the top 1% on DestinyTracker for D1 but haven’t played in ~2-3 years and holy shit this game has changed A LOT. Much of it for the better, some of it slightly overwhelming, but overall a ton of fun and quality of life improvements.

Enjoying PvE so far but very hard to raid with my time / lack of friends that I used to have in D1 so I can’t comment much there. Definitely way more to do then there ever was. Find myself enjoying bounties, strikes, Vex Offensive etc a lot more than I thought I would. Blind Well and other events add a lot of flavor and fun to the game that was desperately needed. Last time I played your options were Strike, Raid, Crucible, maybe IB if it was available. I know many people still have issues with things right now, but as a returning player I don’t have too much to complain about tbh. Well worth the $35.
