They really don't have to though... Locking things down because of the 3rd party sites and dipshits who get hacked is a hamfisted approach. Locking things down because they don't know a better way should not be a solution.
Every time someone gets their info stolen on one of these third party sites, Blizzard has to pay someone to put man-hours into fixing the problem and restoring everything. They're not going to deal with that on a game that doesn't charge a monthly fee, and they can't go with the "at your own risk" angle since the game is entirely online, they have to fix it so you can actually access the game again.

Forcing people to have an authenticator to trade reduces the risk, but what happens when the people running one of the third party sites get greedy and start distributing a MitM trojan via their site? Now you've got thousands of hacked accounts, a large percentage of which will be immediately hacked again right after you fix it because the account holders didn't clean the trojan off their systems.

So my last 4 legendaries have had no unique properties on them, only stats. Infact, of the 30+ I've looted since 2.0, not a single one has been a "build changing" legendary. I think there are a bit to few of these.

And the "build changing" legendaries are more commonly represented in the drops that only happen post-60 and even more at 70 (and only on torment difficulty).

I've seen the list of level 70 torment only legendaries, and it's not exactly impressive in length.

I leveled a wiz to 54 and ran into a unique elite mallet lord who happened to have jailor after the hell rifts in act 4. I had never felt any real threat of dying up to that point (was playing on expert) so I didn't even have a defensive ability on my bar... RIP Lovethyself.

Yeah that's often the case of HC, you need to use defensive shit even though it's useless 99% of the time, just for that 1%. I don't play D3 on HC but I played PoE HC a lot and I'd always have like whirling blades or leap slam to get out of shit if I got stuck and would always gear for hp/resist and taking the life nodes and all the usual HC shit, even though it's mostly unneeded until later on because once in a while, motherfucking rare rhoa charging offscreen with a crit aura and if you're not ready, you're dead. D3 has a lot of rare affixes combos that I would consider extremely deadly so I wouldn't consider anything that can't at least break jailer/move you through mobs, if you get walled/jailed in arcane sentries/frost pulse/thunderstorm while standing in plague/new poison shit/desecrator it's just fucking retarded, or worse if you get hit by those and then the freezing things start stacking on you cause you know even after jailer/waller is gone, you'll be frozen for like 3secs while everything is attacking you. Need to be able to get out of that shit.

Well, why aren't you running teleport just for the convenience ? That's enough unless you run into something superfast that just swarms you, Diamond skin on top if you want to be careful or galvanic ward

I've worked out that Master is best if you have a Hellfire Ring with mainstat/vitality. You can do Torment but imo it's not worth the extra time spent.

You also need to consider that the perfect scenario is probally hitting lv60 in Act 4 so that everything is unlocked for farming right away and your free Legendary is lv60. I was lv30 at the end of Act 1 on Torment difficulty and you can't kill Bucher on that because of the soft enrage, I would have probally been higher level and further along the storyline if I did it on Master.

Yeah, torment on a new char certainly isn't the most efficient, but it can be fun. I was watching kungen stream about a week ago and him and 3 other people started new hc characters on torment and didn't twink them, you actually have to work together to stay alive.

So haven't really played this in over a year, if I'm coming back to fuck around with mostly shitty gear (assuming) what is the current FoM builds for Demon Hunters?

It won't take very long to upgrade that gear. Carso has been on if you didn't know. Cya online.

Er use Thunderfury and Fulminator!? Is there any other choice? Isn't Static Charge viable with that combo?

I came to the conclusion today that after playing for a bit and getting the hang of the new game (get a Hellfire Ring while doing this), the correct thing to do once committing to it is to get 5 classes to 60 ready for the expansion. Not a lot of point farming this stuff to use for a week.

Farming paragon is more useful if you plan on playing crusader, but other than that yeah gear isn't particularily useful.

On that note, stuff you might want to do before the AH closes on tuesday:

Sell ALL your gems. Keep a high ruby if lvling a crusader for socket weapons(crit dmg sucks while lvling, get better if you craft a full set of crit gear but that kinda sucks until you get to 60ish too and once you're 61 you can drop better emeralds anyway), another for helm if you want but a small one works alright there since xp% is additive and you're gonna get a lot from difficulty. I kept 10 of each just in case but other than that you really don't fucking need gems cause as soon as you hit 61, which is gonna take like 30mins anyway, you're gonna drop the next tier of gems which is as good as the current highest tier of craftable gem.

Buy blacksmith recipes you don't have that you can afford. I bought everything at around 1million or less since I don't have that much money(did get up to 100millions though from playing since 2.0 and selling white gear and reduced req 60 weapons). Recipe drops are smart loot, you only loot the ones you don't have, however there is no rule that makes it only drops the 70 ones. If you don't have any of the pre 70 recipes once you start farming you're gonna get shitty lvl 25 legendary recipes and all that crap mixed in. The more recipes you have, the more likely you'll get RoS ones. This goes for all types of them. Some are atrociously expensive though(like hallowed defenders and that quiver and shit) so those well unless you're super rich, you'll have to settle on finding them. I'm only missing 2rares(boots and pants, 2millions each don't wanna bother), 3sets and about a dozen of legendaries, so other than the leg recipes, it's pretty alright.

Liquidate most of your crafting materials. Unless you plan on leveling a crusader and didn't craft stuff in advance, you don't need it. Even if you do lvl a crusader, you probably don't need many(and you get shit while you're lvling too), you don't need perfect rolled lvl 30 gear anyway, just shit with str. None of the materials is useful for post 60, INCLUDING DEBRIS. In early RoS they were the same debris for 60 and 70, but they added a tier of 61+ debris, so those are also pretty worthless.

Sell whatever you're not gonna use if it can sell. Money is important in RoS. You'll be getting a lot more money from doing bounties and shit at 70, but it's still more useful than pretty much anything that's relevant now because by 65-67 rares are gonna drop with enough main stat than even good items won't be a DPS increase anymore. There's a few exceptions obviously, but at the same time these exceptions are what's worth the most to cash in(like really good mempos and shit like that).

Today was a good fucking day. Got a thunderfury and strong arm bracers and I already have a fulminator /won khim lauandsledge fist. Everything else should be viewable on myprofile.

Which two weapons should I use ?
Depends on your playstyle. You look kinda tanky, but no cyclone strike(which you should be using now, I think it works for strong arms). If you're playing on higher torment while people kill stuff for you, I would say TF and fulminator. If stuff dies fast, I would ditch the fulminator and use the wkl. The lightning increase works on the TF proc. Then change your spirit gen to WotHF/FoF to proc TF as much as possible because it has the highest proc coefficient by far. You should do that anyway because FoT is pure garbage now. WoTHF will out damage it even with a decent amount of lightning% gear and no TF.

Yeah, Monks are pretty ridiculous as tanks atm. Mine is pretty useless solo with this build, but in groups its great (esp. with nemesis bracers in bag for spawning more elites).

Very impressive. Now if only you could instead have 9 million damage.
