Took like a 2 week break and don't feel like logging in at all now.. this was like when I would take a break from an MMO for a week, re-evaluate my life, and then not want to play again.

That's sort of what happened to me, except instead of real life I do it with obsessing over different games until I burn out. RoS was my "break" from Dota2, had a friend get me into a match last week and was like hey, it's fun again, and lost the last interest I had in the D3 grind. Keep waiting for it to "feel" like D2, which didn't feel as grindy even if that's all you did was baal/meph over and over (or ubers from mods really), and for whatever reason, I just don't think that's going to happen.

I feel the exact opposite. I feel the grind in D3 is more engaging and accessible than it ever was in D2.

The game is in great shape right now. RoS offered so many improvements. The bounty and rift system is a fun way to get loot and a more diverse system than anything we had in D2. The torment difficulty slide is soo much better than the Inferno act system we used to have. Crafting is a great way to reliable farm for specific items especially for fresh 70s, but rarely are they best in slot. The only really big miss is Kadala. She sucks, and she's not an engaging way to get loot. Even if they significantly upped the blood shard cost and made her hand out only legendaries she'd be much better. There is nothing good about filling your inventory with yellows to sell or salvage over and over again.

I know this is completely going away from what we have right now but it would be so much cooler if you could spend blood shards to modify rifts in some fashion. I assume their end-goal if rifts is to try and have them more randomized and custom like PoE but even being able to get like a +50% legendary drop rate bonus on the rift for like 200 shards would be pretty cool. Gambling completely stops being relevant after you gear yourself to the point you don't need legendaries. I need set items. So I just blow all my shards on amulets trying to get sidegrades.

Another thing that imo makes PoE much more fun is that some of the map bosses are like mini raids. If we had riftstones and then were able to buy or craft upgrades for it like PoE where you trade 200% magic find for +50% haste and dmg on mobs would be awesome.

First time I killed Malth with 3 of my buds it was for sure a mini raid boss. Shit was hard, and took a few wipes before we were able to do it. Was really fun!

Like I said I'm sure Blizzard wants to do something like this and perhaps we won't get it until the next expansion. I still think most of their efforts this expansion was un-fucking up some of the code that made it so rigid and impossible to customize. I hope now that the effort for that is finished they can work on adding more content to the game. I honestly think their original plan for Diablo3 + Expansions was simply adding new acts and thinking people were fine with the way end-game worked in Inferno. Since that clearly wasn't working they had to re-engineer some of the core of the game to allow for things such as rifts and bounties -- which they pretty much always said was impossible prior to the expansion.

I started playing the Wizard I created in 2012, holy fuck what a difference from a Barbarian. Wizards just seem to chew through packs. I'm guessing they only get better.

/sigh Why can't the classes I like playing ever be good. It seems like all things being equal, the Wizard trounces the Barb as far as killing speed. In a game where it's about killing speed I guess I shall level my Wizzy.

What is supposed to be implemented in 2.05? I don't see patch notes on it.

I just assumed the caches scaling with difficulty and what not?

they really really really need to buff rifts another 600% then rework every single legendary to have some kind of fun fucking affix.

I don't know what fucking retard thought affixes like "gain 4% life whenever you kill an undead enemy" were good affixes needs to be hung, just put fun affixes on every leg and let us play and have fucking fun.

end game build should be me, piecing together these awesome legendarys using any spec i want, and still be viable.
