That seems weird. Would you stack fire for EB, or arcane for Archon damage? I'm all fire right now, for my EB/MM/Conflag build, but would be swapping out for Arcane damage instead. I'm at 48% CDR right now, without a diamond in my helm. Once I get a Andy's helm with a socket I'll be over 50% CDR.

Edit: Oh wait, you could go to the new Fire Archon Rune, right? and just stick with all fire.
Yep, Fire Archon is the way to go.

I wish there was a way to hotkey gear swaps so I didn't have to open my inventory and click gear.

Changing sunkeeper for elites and nemesis bracers for shrines and trangouls for health well gets old
I think what you suggested is useful either way, but would also kinda like a slot system for novelty affixes like the nemesis bracers that let me attach that effect to others.

they really need to get on cindercoat for each element, really makes it hard to play anything other than fire honestly.

how do you turn off the spam, "there is a new community post available for viewing" I went into the settings, nothing went to the little gear opened that and unchecked everything still getting it.

I'm back playing for the first time in forever. kaos#1826 if anyone wants to hit me up. Still running normal because I am super gay but I have to believe I am about ready to move on to T1 at least.

Well that was kind of fun. It was slow, died a bunch, but cleared a T6 Rift solo. Granted, was using the Unity ring trick with follower, but still was cool to do. Did it on my wizard. My overall impression was that shit would be way easier if I had a poison immunity necklace to swap in. Bottom line, I could handle the melee hits. It was the elites affixes that would be killing me. Have Julia's Cameo for arcane, but none of the others, and wish I had. Especially poison.

This is going to be happening 2x as fast thanks to legendary rain buff.

The mortals never listen.
Doubtful, still a ton of RNG to factor in - ive finally got my TF but im not entirely playing by the rules. Still 4-5 items i really want and that may take another 2-300hours of non stop play to get to drop.

Still takes a month or so of game play to gear out and quit.. vs. taking a month to get nowhere and quit... Doesn't seem to change the fact that there is no longevity to this game.

The ladders will be dominated by people who don't need the novelty of new content to log on and grind shit for thousands of hours.

You'll look at your 5000+ bronze ranking despite your best poopsocking weekend bender and rage. Then you'll catch a stream of a korean or viet team playing 8-hour shifts on a barely top-50 ranked char and never log onto your ladder char ever again.

im really trying to sit here and think of what kept me playing D2, and it was simply the pvp cant word it any other way or lay it out any other way, bashing monsters is great but that shit gets boring fast, even if the monsters just get harder.

Idk imo pvp was the end game of D2 at least for me, and it was great, kinda knew it was going to be shitty and nothing like D2 when they announced 4 player cap.

So just like every other game then

They really need to make ladders have multiple ways to be competitive. A cool one would be an endless rift, go as long as you can till you die then it kicks you out. Have a single player, duo, etc ladder and see who can go the farthest. I'd play the shit out of that. Of course you'd have to tune it so people couldnt just play tankfag builds and never die.

yah i really don't think that's going to save this game, once you get to a certain point the game is a bore.

i kept playing d2 to find items that would make my pvp builds better, or i wanted 1 item so i could nullify fighting against a certain class, PvE can only hold up so long.

having every class farming t3-4 i guess is my other goal, but that's basically achieved since i wont touch DH.

how do i fucking turn off "new community post available for viewing" spam is fucking driving me insane.

For me, T6 efficient clearing is my only goal for each class. Christ you can efficiently farm T4 with just crafted gear, more or less.

I have friends who get their sets and can kinda do T4 more or less and then move on to the next class and I'm like, "T6 or you're not playing the game, bro" and they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Certain classes can't 'really' efficiently clear t6. I mean I could drudge through but a 20 minute t6 rift ain't no fun.

meh i got my WD/sader to T6, and my barb can do it with bank junk.

Monk is the only one im working on now, only cause they are getting a buff soon, and they were my original class in release, but honestly after this new buff, it probably takes fuck all time to gear out now, my monk basically has full set of fire/lightning, missing the weps for fire but have everything else. I am actually hoping to get a nice pair of frostburns so i can try out that cold spec with rimehart, just want more variety less fire specs because of poor itemization.

Are monks the worst for toughness stat? because of needed second resist type on everything? ive noticed my toughness sucks ass, maybe im paragon spec'd wrong for defense or something.

I don't think anyone who plays a reasonable amount expects to be competitive on this shit, it's just a new goal to get people to play again.

exactly, you aren't going to compete with botters for one, and then people who account share it was nothing new in D2 that the top ladder players account shared, i think i legit no lifed like a motherfucker one time, and i barely broke being on the first page, as a 92 pally.
