Started up a toon last night. Barbarian, of course. I found the Death's Bargain legendary which I never really paid too much mind to but for leveling I just stacked regen so my aura was ticking for ~20k/s. War Cry + Invigorate and I found out Inspiring Presence's 3% HP/s counted as life regen as well so VIT also counted as HP/s effectively for the build. So while running bounties I'd just walk to the bounty location and passively I'd kill everything in my wake without actually having to stop. Not sure it was exactly the most efficient (I had to tune down to normal difficulty but with the way the item worked I'd almost always get the 1.5x XP bonus) but its easy. At least until you can craft a lvl70 with -reqs ... which requires some death's breaths to level up the smith.

If you can handle master or expert it will be much faster. Even if you have to stop to kill mobs

I may plvl from 60 to 70. I wanted to do a few full game clears to build up some mats for cubing.

Can someone explain to me why Pig Sticker is better then Hack? Seems to me like Rift Bosses are where your thorns won't come in handy so being able to really capitalize on the extra damage there would be a good thing.
Hack is slow for a one hander at 1.3 speed, while pig sticker is 1.5. It doesn't sound like much of a difference at first, until you start stacking attack speed modifiers and then carry that across to things like Stricken stacking. It's a fairly big difference.

Hacks +thorns on hit is kinda shit, I've got 200k thorns, so each Hack hit would add +200k onto the hit, even after stacking thorns to 1mil with the 2pc, it's still only a +1mil per attack. This is because that additive is not affected by your STR modifier.

Pig Stickers +beast and human damage is just icing on the cake.

If Hack's proc was modded by STR it'd be amazing, even being slower.

A long time ago I realized this greater rift system was an fotm fest for 4 man. I for one welcome my arcane twister DPS overlords and a rolled a support that can share gear with them.

Making something unique that becomes successful is way more fun anyways imo.

Support wizard this season is doing really well so far. Only hang up is if a mob is taunted and black holed when it dies it gets stuck at 1hp.

Add Nirgon#1278 if you're any sort of good and I'll clump/perma lock some mobs for ya whenever I'm not doing dedicated 4 man.

65 greater rift solo -- for those interested in invoker crusaders. I think I royally fucked up the beginning of the rift. Good times.

Looks like attack speed doesn't work on energy twister ticking faster anymore? For all the effort they go to to make this an arpg for dummies on steroids a lot of this stuff is still very counter intuitive and leaves you guessing.

Does arcane power on crit work on twister still? Real hard to tell.

There's stats on Hack too though? I guess there might be one more affix, but there aren't that many good affixes for thorns builds since they don't care about damage% or ressource cost reduction, so that leaves cooldown/speed/str/life, and since you don't need flat damage, it's easy to get on any weapon with a gift?
Hack's speed sucks and according to the testing I've seen the orange text is pretty much the Crusader equivalent of Skull Grasp. Looks great, but in practice it does fuck-all.

As for stats thorns makes good use of six things: CDR/IAS/STR/VIT/[LoH or AEDmg] + gift. So the extra stat on Pig Sticker is definitely desired.

As a bonus, Pig Sticker is utterly trivial to get, just upgrade daggers in the cube and there's only 3 possibilities, one of which is rare so you'll mostly just get Stickers and Barbers. Even getting an ancient doesn't take long, and it's not hard to get a ~perfect one either. Hack is a rare axe in a pool of 7 items.

I've got Bombardment on my bar for solo GRifts. It does a decent amount of damage. I use it in place of the horse as you don't really need the horse for solo GRifts. I was on the leaderboard for quite some time but watching the Steelers game killed it. I am working today so I will probably never see the leaderboard for the rest of the season

You really should look closely at the damage it does. It's like 30-50M with it on your bar, compared to the billions of damage you're doing with Punish. IMO this build excels at killing elites to the point that you should be ignoring most normal packs unless there's extreme density of high-value mobs. All I do is ride the horse from pack to pack, since the cooldown is only a couple seconds longer than the effect.

I haven't found a Blood Brother or Pig Sticker yet.
Upgrade daggers in cube (see above). Blood Brother is more of a pain, but still doable; it's an uncommon in a pool of 10 items if you cube 2H swords on a wizard. Certainly a hell of a lot better than trying to get it from Kadala though.

Running T7/8 now and that's how I play. I just run to an elite pack, melt it, and keep going. I ignore everything else.

I managed to finally get Stricken/Trapped/Chip for my three gems. Now I have to level up trapped until level 25 so I can get the slowing aura.

Still no belt of the trove!

I have a shield that gives Iron Skin +39ish % block. Thinking about cubing it. I have no cubed items right now but I really don't have anything worth cubing yet.

I wouldn't use Stricken until at least mid-60's GRs maybe not even that early. Rift bosses die too fast for it to matter. I use Bane of the Powerful, but Gogok might actually be better. Haven't tested it yet, but my gut feeling says that it should be.

Disregard Blood Brother acquire Akkarat's Awakening. Forsooth.
You need both though. Actually getting the shield is hell though. Drop chart says ~15k shards on average, and I'm closing in on that point with no luck so far.

I have that now. It's what I am using.

My Punishment doesn't hit in the billions.
It has to or there's no way you could complete GR60+ rifts in time. I'm talking dps, not per hit. Also including Iron Skin activated at the moment CoE switches to phys, Endless Walk buff, etc.

Seems like most crusaders are gemming Diamonds in all armor... is there a vitality cap we should hit first or just do Diamonds?

I tried Gogok, I couldn't keep it stacked where it was enough but it might make a difference once it's level 25+.

I was thinking about going to powerful myself.

Yeah, that's the thing with Gogok, it's not really useful until practically maxed out. Once you get it to 50 though, it should be good. I'm going to level one to 50 once I get Boyarsky to the point where it's not >=80% to level. Thorns still way more important.

Heart of Iron converts vit to thorns damage.Heart of Iron - Game Guide - Diablo III
Str still increases overall damage more though. Gem diamonds if you need to survive better, otherwise rubies.
