Nah, you don't lose your characters, it'll just be like they are on a different server from ladder characters. So when you start a new ladder character you will have to do things like lvl your artisans and unlock your stash again, but you can always go back to your old characters and have everything.
I have no clue what they are going to do about character slots if they do indeed add ladders. Hopefully they will do something like you get 10sc/10hc/10ladder slots.

I'd assume it would be similar to D2, the ladder would last 6 months or something, the game would have specific items that are only available in that ladder, once the 6 months are up the character turns to "non-ladder" status.

If they do add ladders I hope they lessen the leveling curve. I'm really, really not looking forward to playing normal, nightmare, hell, inferno for a new toon every 6 months.
They just put up alot of the class changes on diablofans, and it looks like barbs took it in the butt.

Haven't gone through most of the class changes, but neutering Into The Fray will kill a whole ton of barb builds. Blizzard, hint: resource regeneration from doing dps is fun.
lol, then they add 1% max life/resource on kill rune to Mantra of Conviction. Wording is a bit vague on whether it affects yourself though.

I wouldn't even get to worked up over any of the changes. 10 more levels and a gear reset with crazy new gear will change things drastically anyways.
Yup, playing the game right now is completely pointless unless you like being bored out of your skull.

I wonder what Blizzard really "wants" from Barbs. Because they are apparently nerfing what I'd consider the two most popular specs -- WW & Throw Weapon. It looks like they nerfed both so badly each aren't even viable anymore. They even nerfed Seismic Slam's most popular rune.

Since I have access to all those skills discussed in the changes I can safely "theorycraft" that it would be impossible to run WW/Sprint build with the changes. Not saying that is exactly a bad thing WW/Sprint is pretty damn boring.
