I just started playing for the first time.
Used a WD build in this thread, and pretty much just farming crypts non stop for Paragon Levels.

Im at 60/60 currently.

IS there anything else I can do besides non stop crypt farming to advance my character in time for the expansion?

Is anyone powerleveling in Hardcore this week or weekend? I got my Monk to 54 and got killed to an elite pack with vortex, lightning, and lag spike... Wanted to hit 60 before the expansion.

I've been running Act 1 wretched mother quest on torment 3. You usually get between 3 to 4 elites per run and sometimes a treasure goblin. Doesn't take that long to clear and the paragon is experience is pretty good.

I wish I knew more about the game, because my gear is still pretty poor.
Some legendaries, and one green, with a mix of yellows.

Guess it won't matter when the xpac launches, so I guess it's better to have a ton of paragon points atm.

Have they said anything definitive about this? I was planning to hold back a chunk of gold for crafting and other money sink stuff, but if gold is super plentiful I'll probably just sell it.

I remember at the beginning of the RoS beta gold and loot was easily attainable but I thought I remember the amount was supposed to be nerfed. Not sure if we are talking before or after that point.

Many people who have played RoS beta and talked about the bounties have said gold is easy to come by. Also just think about Blizzard and how they cater to the masses, do you really think they are going to make BoA gold the new bottleneck?

It seems the only way you might need huge gold amounts is to reroll the same item over and over trying to get perfect stats as to my understanding enchanting increases in amount as you attempt to reroll the same item. If anything in most cases I think you will be limited by the new brimstone equivalent more than you ever will by gold.

Gold rate SHOULD be higher now that it's account bound anyway, I still don't understand why they made it that much of a single player feeling with adding account bound to virtually everything

Just the standard knee jerk reaction. If we can't make money in our RMAH then nobody can. They said it was to limit botting and 3rd party selling ect, and technically making everything BoA accomplishes that gold farmers, bots, and 3rd parties really are limited in what they can do at this point but it does suck for rest of the player base who enjoyed trading legitimately.

It's the typical punish everyone because of a few shitty people or "This is why we can't have nice things."

Quite a few of the legendaries have scaling effects and probably won't be replaced for awhile. 20% skill damage is 20% damage regardless of what your stats are, you definitely won't be replacing something like Andariel's Visage or Mempo of Twilight with a RoS rare just because the mainstat rolls are higher.

Like I said before, if they're not collecting a monthly fee, they don't want to pay CS people to deal with account issues. With Diablo 2 you could make infinite bnet accounts so if you got hacked they could just tell you to go make another one. In Diablo 3, if you get hacked, not only can you not play the game anymore until Blizzard has someone un-fuck/restore your account, youcan't play any of your other Blizzard games either.Because, you know, they're all under the same bnet account. This problem makes it pretty mandatory for them to resolve hacking issues very quickly, and if they allowed third party trading with all the account stealing that goes along with it they'd have to employ a massive staff of people to deal with those stolen accounts for basically no return. Making everything BoA is a no-brainer.

Fuck trading. Am I missing something? People act like trading in d2 was the greatest thing ever. Every experience I had with it was just a massive waste of time of people trying to scam you.

I think it would be pretty brilliant if they're getting rid of AH's so that you keep your gold for item rerolling/crafting and at some point they remove BoA from legendaries and bring in some sort of actual TRADING system rather than a purchase system. God knows gold duping/farming burned their asses several times.

It's not even that though, having the ability to hook up your bro who just started playing with some old gear is always a nice thing. Or if your buddy decided to make a wizard, you're a wizard with a lot of extra gear, toss it his way. etc.
Fuck random trades, it just completely nullifies your ability to gear up a friend etc.

Yeah, I'd like to see the easily-acquired RoS ring that will replace a perfectly rolled Stone of Jordan. I'm pretty sure I'll still be using that thing for a long time past hitting 70. Especially if they stick with the current plan and using the mystic rolls the new affix at your level instead of the item's level. I'll just wait until 70 and reroll the dex on it to L70 dex.


As for making everything BoA, best idea Blizzard ever had. I just wish they'd gotten rid of the online requirement too, because fuck their servers.
