Wizards get a pretty significant DPS buff from their off-hand/source. Monks and Barbs don't really get that luxury, made worse by the 2H bug.

I'm a monk, but that shouldn't matter. Your offhand stats are still calculated in their total. The only thing that's different is your 'average damage' which could be huge, I guess. But it still doesn't make sense to me.

No. There's 3 portals, you NEED at least 3 machines. Each uber can drop one different organ, you need the 3 organs to craft the ring, recipe is on act2 vendor or maybe it's act3, one of the vendors anyway. Since the droprate of organs is random, and which portal you open is random, you need several machines for a ring. It can only open portals that aren't opened yet in a given game though, so for example say you only need leoric+maghda portal left, even if you don't open it, you should stay in this game, kill the uber and spawn another portal, since it means you now have 50% chance to open as opposed as 33% if you restart a game.
As an example, it took me 14machines to get 3 organs. I do have doubles of 2 of them though now. I would say I was decently lucky with my machines. Was doing torment 4(40% chance to drop organ).

The stats are sure, but the damage isn't. It takes an average of the two to calculate skill damage and alternates swings for anything that actually swings for on-hits/procs. Wizard offhands just add another ~90-400damage to your mainhand, so I'm using something dumb like a 1700dps mainhand for the dps calculation.
I could be wrong, but farming gear seems pointless right now.
Paragon points ( which is more or less EQ AA's) seems more important since it seems to be unlimited, but i'm sure it hits diminishing returns at some point on the stuff that isn't capped.
The bonus being that the AA's transfer to all your characters forever.

Is this a confirmed bug? I thought it hit once when passing through a mob, and a second time when the orb exploded. I also thought this was intentional. It forces you to be a certain distance from the enemy.
I think what the supposed bug is, is that one of the hits is hitting too hard. Like say the pass through hit is supposed to be hitting for 50% less or something.

There are lots of people in the clan who can carry you in t5 so just farm ~9 machines and ask for help.

On another note... I'm not farming gear right now. I don't see a point in it when everything going to be close to worthless in a few days. I've been lvling char and paragon lvls. Hell, I even got bored and went achievement hunting.
