You're basically asking for D2JSP to be resurrected. And with modern web technologies someone could create a web front end that is almost exactly like the D3 AH. I very much do not want that. I could see in-guild trading as being a good middle ground but I don't want open trading at all.

It would literally be the Diablo AH all over again. The only difference would be it'd be in a browser window instead of a game window. The thing that SO MANY PEOPLE fucking bitched about that Blizzard actually removed their source of constant income from the game to get rid of it. There is NO chance of open trading legendaries being a thing (you can open trade yellows still but no one seems to care). The black market would explode again and Blizzard would have to balance item drops around it again, like they did with the AH, and like they did with D2. There's a half-dozen better ways to improve the loot pinata that have been suggested just in this thread, much less the whole internet.
Because the drops are tuned for an individual to be able to achieve them. Maybe not in a month like this forum seems to think is appropriate to get fully setted out -- but they're tuned for you to find them. How many legit Zod runes did you find in D2? How many SOJ dropped for you? How did you get all those Rune Words for your Merc's spear? You just said above people are preferring to sit in a chat channel and join RIF games but having open trading, at best, would be sitting in a chat waiting for someone to not scam you out of the set item you need. At worse you sit on a web page for hours refreshing hoping you have enough black market forum gold to buy the set item. How is that anything but a massive step backwards?

So I don't know if it's intended but I noticed a MASSIVE increase in my damage right after I went into game options and checked the "Elective" mode.
As soon as I noticed this huge increase in damage I went into the next higher difficulty and absolutely raped it. Did I stumble onto a feature or did I temporarily suck ass?

Why would anyone give a fuck about other people getting items in the AH or anywhere else in this iteration of the game since there is zero competition and it doesn't impact your gameplay? The reason why people bitch against the AH is the game was tailored around its existence, making it extremly hard in vanilla to progress past inferno act 1 without using it to min max.
In RoS you wouldn't NEED to trade to be able to do T6 because the game was rebalanced, but having the option to do so to finish a set or min max your +gooder by dumping what you find and trading for what you need would be nice.

There isn't anything even remotely as rare as a zod rune in this current iteration of D3. How would being able to trade (not talking AH here, just trading,no gold) bring anything negative to this game in its current state?
Now, if they put an AH back in and fuck the game up by shitting on the drops or putting in the game piss rare shit like zod, then i'll be right there with you, but this is why people want trade back in.
Like I said the game would be rebalanced. By that I mean set drops would be cut down dramatically or the market would just be flooded with them. If the drop chance wasn't reduced to like 10% of what it is now (ie: you *can* hit the jackpot and find it but that isn't the intended route) then obtaining any classes full set gear would be trivial since the market would have 100 set pieces for every 1 person playing.

And so the market would be flooded with ok rolls of set pieces that you could trade for other ok rolls of set pieces. High end rolls or perfect rolls would still only trade for equal quality rolls. I have zero problem with that. But i also enjoy the game 10 times more now that i have my EQ set, been 2 weeks playing around in T5/T6 and it is the most fun i've had in this game, so i guess i dont' fit the mold of 'get EQ Set, instantly get bored with game and never log in again'?
I would love a high end Fire wiz. In this current iteration i would have to repeat my already stupidly high playtime to MAY BE accomplish this. This is something that would be extremly tedious to me (yet i might still do it), and probably downright impossible to someone with a casual playtime. Months of farming is not a reasonable expectation for ONE set of item for ONE character.

I dont want an AH. I also am not thrilled with a Kadala actually although I get the purpose of her. Call me old fashioned but I like my lootz from dead boss mobs and/or random chests in hard "dungeons". So my implementation of Kadala would be someone who "attunes my karma" to a certain type of item and then her random drops are just added to Champ/Elites as I kill them.
I don't see how that is remotely close to an argument pro-trading. Your EQ set items aren't exactly perfect rolls. They aren't bad but it could be better. So with that set (which isn't perfect so it wouldn't command perfect trades ... and by trades of course I mean low amounts of forum gold) and some easy-to-obtain legendaries (which would be 1000x easier to obtain with open trading) you can do the highest difficulty. And that sounds like good game design to you.

The amount of people actually trading would be immensely dwarfed by the number of people just spending money on items. Again, it's the exact same reason the AH was scrapped. I'd love to fart around in T5/T6 with any class but as it stands now I never, ever will. The drop rates are too random to make it worth playing. Honestly, if they didn't change item drop rates from where they are now and let people trade, I WOULD just buy items because at least then I would be able to play around with multiple classes and multiple builds. Will I stop playing when I can do T6? Eventually, maybe. But certainly not for a while. Will I ever be able to do T6 with the game in it's current state? No, I won't.
Free trading is not the right answer. Clan trading (if you're in clan for a week or more or something) is better in every way: It all but prevents black market and it actually ENCOURAGES community trading. By your argument, it wouldn't hurt to quadruple the drop rates of all legendaries and frankly that would be more fun for almost everyone than black markets and trade channels.

No trading really kills the game more than anything for me. And every time someone brings up D2JSP and duping and omg the world is going to end, no one can even confirm that duping even exists in D3.
When ladders come out they should just make ladders no-trade and everyone can just shut the fuck right up about it.
